Henni opens windows, shakes off rain drops from mac, put's kettle on and starts to toast some crumpets if anybody wants one.

Easy day to for me today.

I do know better than that, sorry

hennipenni · 22/02/2008 13:39

I still haven't looked at it properly, I am wanting to post something on it but I don't like it when things get nasty

Annnnyyyywwwwaaayyy, back to our staffroom.

Mindee and dd now sleeping and having a rest (respectively, since dd doesn't nap anymore boohoo) I am having a rest and a good ole natter on MN.

So... what's everyone doing for Mother's Day (in regards to mindees)? I was thinking the curled dandelion hand flower thing.. and a homemade card from each mindee. What ya'll thinking of doing? I personally don't give a thought to mothers day (good thing DH is USELESS at these sort of things) but I have my one mum who definitely is into this sort of thing so want to surprise her.

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 13:59

Best to keep out of it and let people draw their own conclusions about CM's I think. I must admit, I'm a bit perplexed as to HOW it end up in here! Still, as I said before, I said my bit, rather too vocally! I upset people, I apologied and thats the end of it for me. Best thing you can do, is hide the thead!

Cake will be uploaded in about half and hour!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 22/02/2008 13:59

I am planning to do scrumpled tissue paper - green and yellow - stuck onto a daffodil shape on card.

Tell me about the hand thingy ?

crace · 22/02/2008 14:06

www.dltk-holidays.com/mom/crafts-flowers.htm and look for the handprint lilies

Lots of ideas on here actually

crace · 22/02/2008 14:10

Looking forward to it Mo!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 22/02/2008 14:21

oooh look they are super.

TVM

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 14:31

Tis done! Not the best picture tbh, but you get the idea! The brown top is a sloping roof, which isn't very clear!

crace · 22/02/2008 14:38

Mo, it's fab! What's the theme?

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 14:41

Well, its supposed to be Kbears dad, lazying outside his workshop (which is blue!) enjoying his old age and the plane on the roof is to signify his love for his model aeroplanes!

crace · 22/02/2008 14:47

Then consider it job done! You are one talented lady (and close enough to me to make me a cake one time )

southernbelle77 · 22/02/2008 14:49

Gosh, it's all been going on over 'there' hasn't it! Haven't read it all but don't think I could cope with it!!

Thanks everyone. I am actually ok now. It was very early on and if I hadn't tested so soon then I probably wouldn't ever have known and I'm sure it will happen again soon (both times we have tried it's been the first month so not worrying at the moment).

Mindee woken and wants to play with wedgits - I'm taking that is what he wants given they have all just been emptied at my feet!

laters

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 14:56

Cheeky! August is always a good time to get me travelling in your direction!

Good attitude to have I think SB. You're right, many, many woman don't even know they are pg, just 4 or 5 days late and don;t give it another though1. The good news, of course, is that your body is 'in the zone' now and I'm sure it won't be long before you have good news again!

ROSEgarden · 22/02/2008 15:31

oh Belle, im so sorry chick, hope you're ok?.xxxx

Cant chat today got 4 under 4, mad house!!

fletchaaarr · 22/02/2008 16:42

Hi all, Hope you are having a nice afternoon and looking forward to a restful weekend.

Just to explain why "that" thread spilled over here last night:-
If you are criticising the views of people on another thread, or calling individuals aggressive or something similar, then I think it is considered OK to pop over from that thread to answer the criticisms. Otherwise we wouldn't have butted in.

Anyway peace and love and all that.

Have a good weekend

crace · 22/02/2008 17:04

Old news fletchaaarr All peace and love over here, is done and we aren't being dragged into that mess. And a mess it is indeed! Have a good weekend, all are welcome!

Hi Rose!

SB - great attitude and I am still sorry, do make sure you take care of yourself, and as always we are here x

Mo, nuthin' cheeky about it (obviously she thinks I am joking )

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 17:23

Thankyou, but I've already explained that. Old news now, move on.

I've had a lovely afternoon. Once I'd put the cake in the cake box, I fell asleep! I had a whole 30 mins, before DH came in! He's gone out again now, so with a bit of luck won't be back before I go to bed!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 22/02/2008 17:26

Well, the patio man came, materials will come to about £700 - 800, he thinks as it's a relatively straightforward job then DP can get on and do it rather than patio man.
Lots of tips and good ideas from him too. Bless 'im

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 17:46

Ah but, is DP the sort of bloke that would doing it willingly, within a week or too and not screw it up? Is it worth £800 for your sanity, THAT is the question.
