Henni opens windows, shakes off rain drops from mac, put's kettle on and starts to toast some crumpets if anybody wants one.

Easy day to for me today.

toast for me please thanks so much

shoshe · 22/02/2008 08:26

just on my way out, Mo got your message and will pass it on, sorry not been around much, having a problem with sleeping at the moment.

nannynick · 22/02/2008 08:38

Day off for me, going to sort attic out ready for car boot sale. Is it worth taking everything and anything to a car boot sale, and then if it does not sell, dump it?

dmo · 22/02/2008 08:41

what a late night some of you had (re thurs staff room) gald i was in bed early

toast was yummy thanks

looneytune · 22/02/2008 08:50

Morning all. Having a mare this morning but it WILL get better

Nick - yeah but don't dump the rest, put on freecycle, seriously, you'll be amazed at what people want and how quick they collect

southernbelle77 · 22/02/2008 09:02

Morning.

Seems my fall yesterday (or something else) means I'm no longer part of the 'club'

Hopefully it won't be much longer before I am back.

1 mindee today but off out which i think is a good thing. Off to see my mums friend (my mum passed away so she is like my second mum kind of thing) and have a belated birthday lunch with her and mindee.

Have a good day everyone.

dmo · 22/02/2008 09:08

oh god so sorry

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 09:14

Oh SB, I'm so sorry. Don't over do it today.

I'm decorating a cake today for Kbears lovely old Dad. He's 70 tomorrow. Not much else on. DH has already left for work, so house is spit spot, DD will no doubt be out all day. She whined for England yesterday, because I forced her to come to London yesterday and she couldn't see her mates all day My heart bleeds!

Thanks Shoshe. I left a couple of links in the Staff Room about car stickers too, but I'll go and find them again, it might be easier!

crace · 22/02/2008 09:35

SB, oh no! Bless you I am so so sorry. Do please take it easy. I actually found it easier to be working when we lost a baby last year, having "my babies" around me really helped me. I am so so sorry.

Nick, I agree with LT, you would be amazed what people will buy/take. Freecycle is just brilliant as well to get rid of stuff.

Hi dmo!

Shose, you alright?

Hi LT, hope today gets better!

Heya Mo!

And as for us, we had an easy start to the day, mindee1 45 mins late so no mindees until 8.15 which was a nice start. DD of course chose this morning to get up at 6.45 but hey ho - hopefully that means an early bedtime! Baby mindee already for a nap and other mindee and dd are playing "farm" with the big box of animals. Good fun had by all! Taking it easy today, numb hands again - physio did sweet F* all and I have to wait over a week to go back and tell them this. Someone remind how wonderful the NHS REALLY is when I start singing their praises?!

crace · 22/02/2008 09:35

Hi Henni, missed you sorry!

crace · 22/02/2008 09:43

Holy Heck Batman, last night!!

hennipenni · 22/02/2008 09:55

Morning all,

SB, sorry to here about your news.

What on earth did I miss last night?

My easy day has turned into a mare of a mindee!

Got to go before mindee gets up to more trouble!

crace · 22/02/2008 10:07

Henni, it's in the AIBU topic.. cringeworthy

hennipenni · 22/02/2008 10:13

Will read later, thanks.

Mare of a mindee is currently watching TV and doesn't want to play with anything (very unusual for said mindee) so why do I feel guilty about this? (must explain that DD2 is off school poorly due to intolerances playing up hence TV on.)

sorry to hear your news SOUTHERNBELLE i doubt it was the fall that caused it though.

last nights staffroom was stupid - i have to say i find it quite un-nerving when an arguement is brought from one thread to another - this has happened in arts&crafts too - you'd think we'd be safe in the staffroom

BoysAreLikeDogs · 22/02/2008 10:30

SB so sorry

Wet n windy here so we are going to loaf all morning then I have arranged for a builder to come and price up for a new patio. The existing one is use to neither man nor beast, too small and uneven, the tinies get irritated because as soon as they have got up momentum they get to the edge.

Have a good day

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 10:34

Anyone can go anywhere Vi! Sorry girls, I think it was largely my fault, but it is a public forum afterall. I had a stress head on, which didn't help! Still, as far as I'm concerned, O aired my views, as did everyone else. This is a case of horses for courses and let no more be said about it.

crace · 22/02/2008 11:40

Of course anyone can go anywhere, and I don't think anyone was at fault. The OTHER thread however, was terrible. Both sides of it got very ugly. I just hope people don't really think that way about chidlminders.

Sigh.. can't we all just along? We are all friends here, aren't we girls and boys?

Hiya Vi and Boys. We had our redone recently for the same reason, even added steps up to the grass part of the garden. The lo's loved it. Definitely worth doing!

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 11:46

Absolutely friends!

Now then. I think I need some pro-plus, I'm begining to get shakey and that's not good, when I'm half way through decorating cake! I have brain freeze on what do it to it next too, which doesn't help!

dmo · 22/02/2008 12:29

hi crace

BoysAreLikeDogs · 22/02/2008 12:33

Just completely off topic, I got these candles to put on mum's cake at the weekend. They are beautiful

dmo · 22/02/2008 12:36

they are cool boys love the different colours

MaureenMLove · 22/02/2008 13:11

Oh, I've had some of those before! They're beautiful aren't they? I'm having another break! I've just got (ha! JUST) an aeroplane to make and then the finishing touches. Its looking a bit bland atm, but a couple of flowers on the grassy area and it'll be fine!

vInTaGeVioLeT · 22/02/2008 13:12

oh i know anyone can go where they please - of course it's a public site - i just think it's a bit odd to chase a row across threads! Mumsnet does get very heated sometimes and a bit silly.

anyway ho-hum . . . . i'm off to Nottingham after dinner to see my bestfriends little baby for the first time - she's 2 months old now - i'm soooo excited!!!

crace · 22/02/2008 13:12

Go on Mo, regal us with it, send us a pic!
