Dont you know that is bad for you young lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

southernbelle77 · 14/02/2008 17:15

And another week is over

Think I might open a bottle of bubbly tonight! Have made a pie for dinner and put 'I 'heart' U' in pastry on top!! How sickening

Now anyone with a nasty nicotine stick stay away from me, unless you are sharing your G&T then you can quickly pop over

mumlove · 14/02/2008 17:27

I've finished and going to treat us all to chinese for tea (orders please and no pushing and shoving), I don't drink g&t's but willing to share my cider.

vInTaGeVioLeT · 14/02/2008 17:31

oooh - can i have chicken 'n' cashew nuts
please and i'd love a glass of cider though i'll warn you it does make me fairly loud and lairy!!!!

southernbelle77 · 14/02/2008 17:39

Oh well if you're getting chinese in, it would be rude to say no!

I'll have satay style beancurd please

MaureenMLove · 14/02/2008 18:24

Eeewww! Chinese! Not for me thanks. Got very ill on it about 10 years ago and I haven't been able to eat it since. Can't even stand the smell of it, so you eat and I'll stand outside smoking.

DD got her first school report today. Very good. They all seem happy with her work. All very positive comments. She has 3 excellents for the oddest bunch of subjects! Trying to work out how she could use them together in the future! We've got Drama, French, Art and RE! They are all either excellent or good, so we'll be OK so far.... She's only 12, we've got the rebelling years to come yet, when they all turn bad! She asked me if she could have something nice for doing so well. So I gave her a kiss and said 'be lucky!'

mumlove · 14/02/2008 18:28

Mo I like it when the children get good reports from school, well done to your DD.

I have asked angisnuts to join us here, she didn't think nannies were welcome.

MaureenMLove · 14/02/2008 18:37

Everyone is welcome! The more the merrier! Its just an excuse for a chinny lets face it!

I am so impressed with DD's new secondary school. Not only do I have to acknowledge the report, but DD has to fill in a form saying what she thinks she can improve on and what her targets should be for the next year. It just shows to the teachers that the report isn't just thrown in the corner and forgotten, I suppose. All parents have to have a conversation with their lo's about it. Very happy.

MaureenMLove · 14/02/2008 18:50

Do you sometimes wish your friends didn't know you were a childcare worker? My neighbour has just phoned ME in a panic. Her ds has come out in a rash and could I look at it! I don't mind in the least, but the pressure is then on me, not to get it wrong! Its not the M word. Defo. The rash was raised and no colour in it at all. He's got a cold and he's on AB's, so since he's only 2, its probably just a reaction to either the AB's or the fact that he's unwell. I told dad that, but he was in a flat spin, because mum was at work and she'd said, oh its not menengitis is it!. Quick, go and ask Mo! Helpful!

crace · 14/02/2008 19:02

Fancy that, I just MADE 4 chinese dishes for supper - all we had in was some beef and a lot of veg... so egg fried rice, beef & Brocolli, singapore style noodles and veggie stir fry. Yum yum.

Of course now I am so blinking tired.

Just put DD to bed, now to let my lovely tea go down. I must also try and remember to NOT set my alarm in the morning what time would be acceptable to get up?

MaureenMLove · 14/02/2008 19:09

Thats the only fly in the ointment for me tomorrow! I have to set my alarm, because DD is incapable of organising herself for school! I was thinking of getting dress around 10.30'ish after I've had in lovely long bath, with my music blaring and no-one else in the house!

crace · 14/02/2008 19:32

Mo we are the cogs of the family wheel aren't we? I swear my perfectly capable husband in every other way cannot organise a lunch or breakfast. I mean he has to get dressed and walk the dogs after all.. making food for himself.. well that's beyond his reach

Can I have a day off to please I am so jealous!

Evening Everyone[samile]..still..sorry..im no fun today am i!..dp came in all cahtty with dd which he does when he hoped i will join in convo..i didnt..dd had asked me to cook sausages for her so she ate some, i ate some and some were left..before i could think dp came in and ate them..obv thinking id cooked enough so he could have some..which i didnt so am annoyed he thinks i cooked him something(daft i know but im not in the wrong ere')..to add to my shity day..i had...well 'a bad stomach' since 6pm..so had to speak to him to tell him to get out of the bath as i needed to 'go'..he obv knows he was wrong but wont say the words, he's tried to speak to me a few times, well asked me to do something(trabsfer my wages) so i dont need to answer but hes all nicy nicy...why doesnt he just F8&king say sorry i was and Ase
Stomach ache gone, but think ill stay up here and play on dd's ds..if i go in the room he'll think im ok when im not..yeah i know all mind games and 'he started it' but i was so upset and didnt give a dam just thought of himself so am not gunna let it go

ROSEgarden · 14/02/2008 19:52

sorry my spelling really is getting worse

MaureenMLove · 14/02/2008 20:27

So, he's speaking to you now, at least. Men don't apologise! The fact that he's trying to talk to you means he knows he's been a f*ckwit and its his way of apologising. I know, its not the way to do it, but men don't understand. Its not just him, honest. They're all like it!

I know its easier said than done, but try not to let it get to you. Remember, ultimately, he was trying to do something nice for you and he's gutted it backfired. If you carry it on, when he is trying his hardest, you'll end up having an even bigger scrap than is necessary.

vInTaGeVioLeT · 14/02/2008 21:06

rose i know he's acted like an ignorant pig - but it looks like it's going to have to be you that clears the air
can you not tell him that you are really upset? surely he'll apoligise then? also tell him how happy and excited that he'd made such a lovely gesture and that you'd thought he would want to give the bouquet to you himself - i imagine that if it's not his usual style to be romantic he felt embarrassed giving them to you which is why he left them in car for you to find

sorry it's been such a shitty day for you
hope tomorrow's better

dmo · 14/02/2008 21:19

poor you Rose what a grotty day for you
its my dh birthday today so we had chinese tonight with visits from the in laws thrown in for free

ROSEgarden · 14/02/2008 21:26

thanks Guys..hes not romantic and yes your prob right, hed rather i found them, but although it was a total mix up(how could Ii know he MEANT to leave them there if he didnt tell me when i said id found them?
