Morning all, I am just having breakfast before the 1st of my mindees arrive.

Then I need to de-ice the car before school run!! Where has the lovely warm sunshine gone.

eleanorsmum · 11/02/2008 08:14

morning - just re-fitted car seats, put rubbish out, folded washing and cleared away weekend stuff! so am on here for approx 10 mins BEFORE mindee arrives at 8.30!

need to get my multi cultural calendar up to date - any know where i can get a good on! want to plan my activites round it!

crace · 11/02/2008 08:18

I expect it to be a lot quieter (for a bit anyway!) today.. Anyway, just waiting for my mindees to arrive imminently.

EM good idea, looking forward to your responses!

HI to ML and MML!

looneytune · 11/02/2008 08:23

I'm still coming in when I did as I never came in when I shouldn't anyway!!!

Well, mindee due any min then it's the school run. Just thought I'd say hi and catchya later.

MaureenMLove · 11/02/2008 08:23

I don't intend to change my posting habits in the slightest. As I said on that thread, I live by Mary Poppins rules and she once said, 'Let me make one thing perfectly clear, I NEVER explain myself to anyone!'

Anyway, buggy up and ready for mindee, schoolies coming down the drive, time for school run, me thinks!

I guess every time we post we will now be justifying where our children are and how we've got time to post. Don't do it, we are responsible, professional people, no-one else who works justifys the time to come on here during the day!

We got a lot of support on that other thread and we all know our children aren't neglected while we post.

I probably won't be on here much this week just because it's half term and I doubt i'll find time but if i do happen to get chance i'll be here without feeling guilty for having 2 minites to myself!

southernbelle77 · 11/02/2008 08:31

Morning all! Mindee 1 just arrived and playing with the mega sketcher with dd!

Going to make shortbread this morning as need to stay in as HV is coming later about dd (and her botty problems ).

Got someone coming this pm about some after school care so wish me luck!

You lot all sound like you've been rather busy this morning!!

southernbelle77 · 11/02/2008 08:33

dmo · 11/02/2008 08:37

MaureenMLove · 11/02/2008 08:59

Here SB. Its been rumbling all weekend. Couple of lovely, appreciative parents have finished it off nicely though.

I'm doing library time in about an hour, as soon as I can get DH to stop playing with my mindee and go to work!

Kbear · 11/02/2008 09:43

You people should be clearing up sick/poo/dribble not chitter chattering on Mumsnet.

Honestly....

tut tut

Morning!!!

crace · 11/02/2008 09:44

Hiya girls and boys, mindees and I are eating our brunch we decided to do a big late brekkie and all noshing on scrambled eggs, toast, sausies and bacon. Jealous? AND they even helped prepare (the non hot stuff of course before the staff room police get me on that one).

Get me, can eat AND type. Off to clean up scrambled egg from various chins. I will start with mine

crace · 11/02/2008 09:46

My little mindee came at seven thirty and was off home again at 8.30! We had breakfast, then we had explosive diarroheoa! Had to bath him and then get him picked up. He was really pale but still smiling bless him!

Sooo... I now have the day off. Which means I should really do some nvq work..... anyone got any biccies?

southernbelle77 · 11/02/2008 09:55

Well I've just sat and read the whole thread while I have mindees here - JOKE!! Had a quick glance and that was enough! What a ridiculous OP!

Shortbread made and cooling. Mindees eating a snack (of raisins in case anyone is watching and thinks I'm an awful cm and give them unhealthy snacks )

Congrats on the new mindee LT!

southernbelle77 · 11/02/2008 09:57

I'll pass some shortbread your way when they are cooled Kay!

franyfroo · 11/02/2008 10:11

KatyMac · 11/02/2008 10:46

Careful if you claim anything back

You will be liable for capitol gains tax when you sell the house

Watch out or get proper advise

Saz73 · 11/02/2008 11:02

Hi, little question...I've just been approved by ofsted to look after 3 under 5's full time. My new cert came this morning and now says 4 under 5's as per variation request, but I only requested for 3. I have a DS who's 4 1/2 so do you think they are including him on the cert???

looneytune · 11/02/2008 12:12

Well, toddler group went VERY VERY well. For those who've been following my problems with D.P. baby and crying throughout, I did what I discussed with dad last week and ignored the whinging (I HATE using this word but not sure what else to put, don't mean it in horrible way, just the sort of cry which is her just wanting her own way) and wanting me to be right next to her on the floor. I sat on the chair, letting her stand holding me if she wanted but refusing to pick her up unless she had a need, and I focused on drawing lots of hearts on shiny card then cutting them (for the sticking table). It really didn't take her long AT ALL to see I was doing other things but still talking to her etc. and she went off and played She had lots of smiles for me so SHE was happier too and not one lot of SCREAMING, just whinging from time to time. I'm soooooooooo happy Had her sat at the table for apple and banana at snacktime and eventually got from kneeling level to standing up which was so much better for bump and my back!! Can't believe she's going to be 1 this week!! Anyway, this is MAJOR progress, everyone at group noticed and I'm just in such a good mood for it. We did some sticking and have a nice big heart with lots of little hearts for mummy and daddy and she's fast asleep in bed so it's a late lunch today.

So, if you don't mind.....I'll have 5 mins in the staffroom to see what food is about (fancy some of crace's brunch, sounds YUM!)

KS - enjoy your day off. Poor mindee

SB - cheers Oh, can I have a nibble on some shortbread when it's cooled too please

franny - deffo listen to Katy. She knows her stuff!

Rose - I nearly fainted at those prices!!!

Saz - they've obviously messed up and should have put 3 (i.e. 4 including your ds but he should NOT be included on the cert). Have you sorted out what you need to with other mindees? (msn me when you get a mo)

Is Shosh ok? I think I'll msn her whilst I am on my own, not heard much from her lately!

Byeeeeeeeeee
