Morning!

Been up since 6.28am. Minding area cleared, checked and filed with toys. DD's lunch sorted and off to school. 2 mindees due in 30 mins.

hi Sez - yes I believe that does include your ds as I have just had a variation request too and my cert says I may have 4 under 5's as per my variation request which would include my dd.

SB - I'd query that too then as they should never include your own children on the certificate and if they are, someone is messing up!!

Wish I'd kept my previous cert to double check but this one is back to the normal amount as ds has become an over 5 and it now just says 2 under 1's but that's right as neither are my own. Maybe it did say 4 under 5's in the bit about 'as per variation request' but I'm sure mine said I could MIND 3 under 5's (therefore 4 in total). Oh well, don't worry about it. As long as you are only having 4 children under 5 in total then the certificate shouldn't matter

Well mindee now gone home! We baked our shortbreads and then iced them and then we went to the playground and mindee and dd ran around for ages! Wore them out which was good! When we got back they were getting a little tetchy with each other but think it was because they were tired so we sat down and did some alphabet play together!
Off to take dd to preschool in a minute and then back to have a blitz of the house before my 'interview' (for want of a better word!) later for the after school care.

Glad toddler group went well looney. It didn't take her long to realise did it and must be so much nicer for you, and her, and everyone else if she will now go off and play nicely on her own or with the other children!

I thought it was probably because I had to name all the children on the request, my own dd being one them, that they had said 4 under 5's on the cert? Who knows! Might give them a call later to check it out!

Just phoned Ofsted and you're right Looney, the figures do not include your it's only the number of children you actually childmind and you don't mind you're own. Oh well looks like Ofsted have messed up and given me a extra one But do I fill that space or not????

I have. She helped me pack an envelope and I have just some back from the post office, havng taught her how to stick a stamp on an envelope and post a letter. We looked at weights on the scales and then at 'times' on the post box, so shut your noise because the post office trip was for you!

Saz, didn't they tell you they'd send you a new cert Surely they wouldn't ever allow 5 under 5's in total???

They've sent me a new cert that where it says it. The wording is 'may care for no more than 4 children under 8 years, of these, not more than 2 may be under 5 years and of these, not more than 1 may be under 1 year at anyone time. An exception to this ratio to allow 4 children under 5 is made for the children named on the variation request 01/02/2008'. My request only named 3 children.

hi not cm today baby ill (mine) dont want to post on others cos dont want any harsh comments need nuturing myself today i am so worried about my baby need some other proffesionals to talk sence to me. He is my sixth and been cm 20 years but he was failure to thrive at birth has never liked food and has had one thing after another he has had sick bug since wed and now weighs 18lb (he is 19mth we kept him out of hospital by spooning liquid into his mouth every hour sat night he has had a bit of milk and juice today i am so tired and stuck indoors so please just give me some wise words before igo totally mad x
