why do parents send their children to me when they are very obviously unwell. I have just got over that flu bug, had it since xmas (never felt sooooo ill) and now they are sending me more sicky children. I know you cant avoid colds but when the children just cry all day, its not fair to the other children.

why do parents just feel they can pay me when they like. I even charge 20 for late ones but they still pay late.

am fed up......but feel bit better after my rant.

I always read the cm threads with fear.

Sometimes I will call my cm and tell her that ds has been up sick in the night so I won't be bringing him.. she always insists that I bring him so I don't miss time off work. She looks after one other mindee and she takes him when he is sick too. She said it's easy for her to get a blanket and spend all day cuddling etc.. when she just has the 2 mindees. (not as easy I can see when you have more than 2 which is why she won't over stretch herself re: mindees)

I have to say that I would hate her to take the child, then come online and bemoan the fact he is sick. In fact, i'd hate her to complain about ds at all I need to trust her, not feel concerned that she is taking my son just to earn money and that she will complain about him to anyone who listens/reads.

maureenmlove you are quite right. i will do it now.

i will also give up using this site, as non childminders are all just getting the wrong idea. i will find a site where i can talk freely with other minders only.

But don't you think his/her mum would be very hurt if she thought you were discussing her son with strangers online, instead of calling & insisting she pick ds up.

I have to say I find it very strange that you left messages & she didn't get back to you..then you didn't mention it when she picked ds up... are you sure she got the messages? Are you sure you were calling the right number?

MaureenMLove · 05/02/2008 10:35

Frany, if you talk in the staff room, you'll get cm's! Many people don't bother looking in there! Don't go elsewhere.

i think frannyfroo has every right to come on here and discuss her problems - FGS it is annonymus it's not like she's naming names - she's just letting off steam

I cannot believe that a meeting is more important than being with your sick child. What kind of generation are we bringing up. How very very sad
