Morning!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
southernbelle77 · 31/01/2008 16:50

thanks LT will email you now!

MaureenMLove · 31/01/2008 16:51

Well, personally I wouldn't charge if I was taking the time off. Why don't you ask your parents for those days, if they have any plans, then make a desision.

Ok so since you are all going on about competitions and this is the only part of MN I've ventured to, where are they as I want to win something too

Ilove8pm - welcome and congratulations on your registration.

Crace - sorry about your hands.

LT - glad you managed to cancel your course without charge. Hope you get to go to bed soon and have a good, well deserved rest. Oh, and thanks again for your offer of help

And hi to everyone else of course!

Had a manic day again but it's over now and I can sit down in peace (if dd lets me that is). Throat is bloody really killing me today. Thinking I might make a trip to doctors tomorrow as it has been bad for ages.

Oh that's my call. DD just split juice EVERYWHERE!

crace · 31/01/2008 16:58

Good idea Mo, think I will just take the days off unpaid, DH and DS are off and we can get ready for baby and stuff that weekend. Or just chill! Thanks for letting me think out loud.

MaureenMLove · 31/01/2008 17:18

SB, There's a whole section on competitions, but you can also just look on the home page and they post them on there.

Gotta go and do the tea so am off for tonight. Will probably be in bed early, have been prepapring activity for tots tomorrow and am really tired.

Hope I'm not going down with the lurgy...

MaureenMLove · 31/01/2008 17:59

southernbelle77 · 31/01/2008 18:04

Found it now! Just put it in the search - why didn't I think of that straight away!!
Was looking for the competitions! I wanna win something!!

looneytune · 31/01/2008 18:30

SB - just emailed you back with the stuff, good luck!

I'm off to bed with my cup of ovaltine!! Oh, I was so busy feeling sorry for myself, I forgot to have another moan.........the sisters had their last day yesterday and mum collected. Ds gave the girls their presents and mum said 'we'll open at home' then said good luck with rest of the pregnancy and keep in touch but left very quickly. Was a very casual all the best thing and no 'thank you for the last 2 years' or anything Was quite upset. It's not the lack of card or present, it was the way she just went off like it was a normal day without a thanks or anything. Dh said he wondered what I expected from a mum like that, suppose he's right! He also was a bit that I spent £10 each on them but I explained it was for the kiddies and nothing to do with what I think of the mum!

Right, moan over Night xx

MaureenMLove · 31/01/2008 18:34

Aw, that's shit! Maybe she wanted to open them at home, because she was embarrassed. Hope so!

Sleep well, hope you feel better tomorrow.

I'm cold ... heating at work broke down and I couldn't get it restarted. Pilot light won't stay on. Found as many blankets and things as I could to put on the children's beds and got them to put double layers of clothes on (3 and 4 year olds thought this was a great game).

Oh the media really get me... the BBC made no mention in their article, that the 'childminder' was UNREGISTERED. (MailOnSunday says the minder was unregistered). Only source that does say that though... but if the carer had been registered by Ofsted, you would have thought that Ofsted would be quoted as saying something in media reports.
It is a sad story none the less.

crace · 31/01/2008 19:08

Jeezum, that is awful, that story is so sad that poor little boy. Thanks for the link Nick, BBC really need to say that she wasn't registered. Very important I would think.

SB - I went off to search for it and I will be on the look out for them now

LT - I bet she was embarrassed and just wanted out of there - as she probably wasn't expecting anything. Poor you, though goes to show that you are better off without them!

NN- bummer about the heating! I bet the kids loved it tho

ROSEgarden · 31/01/2008 19:35

Loony, i suspect she was a tad embarressed she hadnt got you anything!!!..i have noe or two like that!

vInTaGeVioLeT · 31/01/2008 21:32

looney - what is SPD? i think you need to slow down - i know you need the money and things have been tough lately BUT you need to be able to enjoy your pregnancy and you just work so damn hard . . . . i find it hard enough minding 3 under fives and i'm not preggo and fit(not at all but i should be!!) and healthy

i worry about you and i don't even know you!!!

dmo · 31/01/2008 21:40

thats the second death to a child caused by a childminder in as many months and both cases are being held in Preston (where i live) (jamie bulger case was also held here) the other case was the policemans child

ROSEgarden · 01/02/2008 13:10

Vi, it stands for(spelling will be totally wrong!!) symphesis pubic disfunctio..its when you pelvis splits and moves during PG and is v.v.painful, i had it slightly, nothing like loony, but some have to be bed/wheelchair bound with it..most unpleasent!

ROSEgarden · 01/02/2008 13:10

disfunction

looneytune · 01/02/2008 15:06

You're probably all right, was just in one of those moods last night as felt like poo!!

vInTaGeVioLeT - are you a name changer? Rose has answered about SPD, fingers crossed it won't get that bad although I do worry. I've decided to invest in some sessions with osteopath to see if that helps.
