I will open up then, just having a coffee before we head out to soft play.

Did any of you have that HUGE storm last night, thunder lightening and hail stones like golf balls.

hi rose G - Stafford!(midlands)

also, mo- ive been diagnosed with PCOS so its unlikely the babies will come soon. Was really down at first but feeling alot more positive now.

MaureenMLove · 22/01/2008 14:50

Oh, that's a bummer, but not completely out of the question though. Good you've got something to look forward to this year though, so its not all time consuming and you never know, when you least expect it!

southernbelle77 · 22/01/2008 15:24

Hi everyone! Have read the whole thread but not sure I've taken it all in so if I forget anything please excuse me. DD woke up at 4.45am and wouldn't go back to sleep and I am feeling the effects right now!
Mindee in bed and dd playing with the WEDGiTS I bought - they are really cool! She is having so much fun! Have another interveiw on Thurs for a baby mindee so wish me luck!
DMO, hope your sister did well.
EM, glad mindee went down in the cot, thats great news. Don't use gloves anymore (naughty naughty)as was such a faf, and throw nappies in bin in a nappy sack! Not too much smell and if its back through them outside!!
Just read the link you posted Mo - what on earth?? Some people!
Oh best go, need to play with DD apparently!! She's found the cards that go with the WEDGiTS so have to make all the different shapes now!!

crace · 22/01/2008 16:19

Anyone seen the c/m and conjunctivitis thread? ARGH! I shouldn't have started posting - too easy to get fired about that sort of thing.

Off to read the thread!

ROSEgarden · 22/01/2008 16:20

OH MY GOD!!!!..My 10yr old mindee has just been laid on the floor in playroom shouting "I'm Coming..I'm Coming"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to my dd and 5yr old minee...and she didnt mean she was on her way..the way in whihc she was saying it and her actions describe another kind of coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...luckily dd and mindee didnt 'get it', dont think 10yr old understood really?..but oh shit flip!, i cant do that conversation with her can i??!!!!
She's obv heard it at home, what should i say/do?

crace · 22/01/2008 16:22

Sorry Rose, but oh dear. How she learnt that at home I wouldn't want to know. Jeez, a rather embarrassing convo with mum and dad?

crace · 22/01/2008 16:23

PS - sorry, more helpfully I would say that "isn't appropriate" or something along those lines for the little ones to hear.

dmo · 22/01/2008 16:24

she passed (it was her second time)
she is so happy thanks for all your wishes knew we could do it

dmo · 22/01/2008 16:28

ROSEgarden · 22/01/2008 16:30

Yay..Well Done DMO SIS, hope it makes things easier to get her dd to hosp now..how is your niece BTW?

Crace...Mum has just announced she is PG!..cant believe they would be so 'vocal' with their dd in house mind, but???
thing is they are not english and thier english is not fluent so how do explain this without saying "oh you dd was making sex noises"!!!

southernbelle77 · 22/01/2008 16:36

Oh my god Rose! Thats a bit disturbing!! You should say something to parents - they would be more embarrassed than you!

Well done DMO's sis - that's great

ROSEgarden · 22/01/2008 16:43

i think ill keep my eyes and ears open next few days, when/if she does/says it again, i explain why we dont say it, THEnmention to mum i have had to say something to x as she was making sexual gestures..OFGS!

MaureenMLove · 22/01/2008 17:42

Yay! Good for sis DMO! That'll make things a whole lot easier for her. Will she get any financial support from any offical body to help buy a car? Sorry, I'm not well versed in benefits!

My car is OK. We decided not to even both getting it fixed tbh. Its only a very small peice of glass that finishes of the headlights shape iykwim! There's not a bulb behind it or anything and the indicators still shine yellow, so since I'm dumping it at the breakers very shortly, it seemed pointless bothering. Not sure if anyone saw my thread on Saturday, but a peice of plastic flew off it half way across the Dartford Bridge on Saturday! Again, only something to cover up some screws, but a bit scary all the same! DH has been telling me to get a new car for months, but the engine and all the gubbings are perfectly fine, it just looks a bit rough now!

Rose - what a situation! Hopefully it was a once off, but like you say, keep an eye on it.

dmo · 22/01/2008 18:05
