Hi anyone who is also sad like me!

been on EYFS info meeting today, everyone was scared about paperwork etc..dont see the prob?, its just another course, we are all already doing it all, just need to tweak it a little!
Lots of people winging about the paperwork, well yes there is lots, but not with this course so shut up and give my ears a break!

anyway, i start at end of month and the best aprt yet, just for doing it(and its a funded course) i also get £200!!!!! to buy 'supplies' with, has to be for cming, but can be anything like new pcarpet for playroom etc!(mine will be double buggy, art stuff and garden toys!)..so very pleased about it, ate some lovely danish pastries and drank posh tea

MaureenMLove · 12/01/2008 21:37

I'll pay you back in 6 weeks you know.

Kbear · 12/01/2008 21:38

I'm cancelling my birthday due to CBA.

shoshe · 12/01/2008 21:38

I think most of us got the letter by email anyway, if you didnt I have saved it and can send it to you, (deleted thread Im talking about btw)

Will we all get the two hundred or does it depend where you live.

if I get it I'm going to buy another Marco Sky and those clips that fix buggies together, I will lose my 14 month old mindee in March and will be taking a year old, so will have a 12 month, 14 month and 2 year old who is tiny and cant walk far, decided to have a quad buggy and use the extra set for the bags, I only really use it for when we go on walks and outings and have had a seat2 go but 2 year old is so small thought that 2 marcos would be better.

MaureenMLove · 12/01/2008 21:41

Whats CBA.

southernbelle77 · 12/01/2008 21:43

When I went on my induction course they mentioned something about a grant in your first year to go towards supplies etc etc but never heard anything more about it
Some money towards a decent double buggy would be great - the one I have got is worse than useless!

Kbear · 12/01/2008 21:43

Can't Be Arsed.

MaureenMLove · 12/01/2008 21:44

When I started in this business, the grant was £50, but youhad to submit a receipt and they gave you exactly that!

MaureenMLove · 12/01/2008 21:46

Lets go to curry place in the village? Invite loads and all pay your own way?

southernbelle77 · 12/01/2008 21:47

Anything would be nice! ;)

shoshe · 12/01/2008 21:49

SB, get a Marco Sky they are brill best one I have ever had.

southernbelle77 · 12/01/2008 21:52

See, I do like that but I've always opted for a twin rather than a tandem. Don't know why really!
Is that easy to push with 2 quite big 2 year olds in it?? Plus, does a buggyboard fit on it as that is something I can't stand about my double at the moment!

shoshe · 12/01/2008 21:56

Yep it is tall tho but I am 5'2'' and I can push it and yes I put my seat2go on it, but as I ve said have decided to clip two Marcos together a have three tinies.

I dont walk very far with mine, school run has to be done by car, but we do go to country parks, farms that sort of thing, and it would be great for that

looneytune · 12/01/2008 21:56

Hi all. Henni reported the thread herself as soon as she'd started it as she realised after that the NCMA had put not to copy (or something like that) so she had to remove it!

Rose - I agree with you now, at first it seemed like it would be a nightmare but from what I've heard so far from the first part of the training course, it won't be much different to what we do now.

MaureenMLove · 12/01/2008 22:06

Thanks LT, not controversial at all then!

Shosh, you little shorty you! I had you down for a tall lady! That makes you half a foot shorter than me!

looneytune · 12/01/2008 22:07

No Mo, nothing as exciting as Ofsted getting at us (although we all know they are capable of that, don't we!)

KatyMac · 12/01/2008 22:08

Wasted emails to MN

Sorry MNHQ

shoshe · 12/01/2008 22:10

Mo def not tall, Mom was tall and elegant, her Mum was short and round, guess which one I take after!

MaureenMLove · 12/01/2008 22:12

You are a mixture of the two!

shoshe · 12/01/2008 22:13

Nope Granny to a tee

I could never in anyway be called elegant!

shoshe · 12/01/2008 22:13

southernbelle77 · 12/01/2008 22:21

Just registered on the emergency care database - thanks Looney (sorry can't remember which thread that was on originally!!)

looneytune · 12/01/2008 22:29

No probs, have you seen the advertising tips thread? If not, I'll bump up for you
