Back to work for me this morning and sooooooooooooooo pleased.

I really dont think I could ever do this still on your bum and not work lark.

That is the longest time I have had of in 4 years and it I was so bored, the last few times I have had that sort of time off we have gone abroad, so it seems like shorter IYKWIM.

Morning. Sounds like a nice spread LMG. I like having every day a bit different with different ages.

Schoolie has arrived and is eating his breakfast and I'm just waiting for 18m. No Rainbows tonight, so I finish at 3.30 and don't need to do any more!

Going to send out my party invites today!

mumlove · 07/01/2008 08:09

Morning everyone, just waiting for mindees to arrive for first day back, then off on the school run.

Morning all. D.P. baby now here on Monday's aswell (and then goes full time when girls leave at end of month) meaning that I have 10 month old, 12 month old & 2 and half year old needing car seats and silly me forgot to get the spare seat due to all the changes. Anyway, dh being off work has it's uses. He's off to get a seat this morning so although I'll miss toddler group, we'll be all set from when he gets one!! After schooler back tomorrow so having big think about where to put all car seats in the car and it's proving to be a pain working out best option. It will be a lot easier from next month when it's less again (I like more normally but being pregnant, I'm preferring the easier options ).

Girls not here yet, au pair dropping off at some point. Not sure how D.P baby will be with them in the house, she's probably going to be clingy, her mum seemed a little worried but said she needs to get used to it, which is good

Got 16 week check with MW tomorrow and as ds won't be at school, I'm going to take him and dh is also coming I'll then collect the sisters after so I don't have to deal with them there which is good. Looking forward to hearing heartbeat again!!

Right, best crack on, have a good day everyone

mumlove · 07/01/2008 12:10

Lunchtime already .
Just managed to do the preschool collection, now back home and the rain has started.
1yr old mindee today has no coat and only 1 nappy that we have already used! he is still here for another 2 1/2 hrs. Enjoy your lunches.

ToomanynewyearsROSElutions · 07/01/2008 12:10

Aw hope it is a lovely family event chick...sounds rather hectic for you today!, hope you're not running yourself ragged!

i just got back from town, managed to find a few bits of clothing, mostly for work..i HATE clothes shopping!..i walked into town!(40 min walk)..but then i got a sossy and egg muffin from macdonalds, the i walked to toy library, picked up travel cot and for some reaon got myself mixed up with goeff capes and said id carry it home(30 min walk)with a nylon strap digging into my hand and 3 stones of awkward bulky cot to carry..i was so red and tired and streesed i felt like putting it on the floor and crying!(pmt!)..well its now home and if new mindee wont sleep in it, i bloody will!, it IS going to get used!

just waiting for call from insurance now putting the bright ligbt in my eyes and asking why i damaged my sofas!..then have to ring bank as i put my alarm code in for payment with card...its one of those days girls i can tell yA!

SugarSpiceandAllThingsNice · 07/01/2008 13:50

Wow, what a day. Finally got D.P. baby napping and the sisters are just finishing off their lunch which was later than usual due to a late snack earlier and well, just how the day went. Surprised D.P. baby took very well to the others and the only problem I've had today is the usual screaming fit when I leave the room for a second!! I'll be glad when THAT stops I can tell you!!

I was going to do a trial run with the 10/12 month olds in the double buggy and toddler on reins to see how we get on but it started chucking it down!! I've now got one napping and someone coming over later so can't go out now. The sisters are off next week so it's just the 2 weeks after. I need to do an extra day on one of the weeks so we're talking 3 days of needing to handle the 3 at once. Need to think about this a little more as the toddler can be very set in her ways and could do without a big paddy fit when I try it!!!

Saff - I've got one who used to take up to an hour to settle. I'd used to just leave them as that's the only way they would go off and once they were off, they'd have a LONG sleep as were very tired.

Right, off to sort pizza for me and dh, oven should be warm enough now - I'm soooo hungry!! (well, always am these days lol)

ROSEgarden · 07/01/2008 14:01

Hey Sugar...get out there with the baby, she may be set in her ways but she 'does' need to learn to adapt...as long as its not too stresful for you, id start her now, shes going to ahve to change routine/share you when your own LO arrives so best start now

MaureenMLove · 07/01/2008 14:06

God I'm knackered! I haven't done a whole lot and I feel very guilty for your guys because I've only got one here, but its the first time in nearly 3 weeks that I've had a child under 8 here! She's supposed to be sleeping now but I can hear her talking to herself! She'll drop off in a minute, I'm sure. We went to the library this morning, but she is on the move now, so I was up, down, up, down. Its like that at home too. Toys everywhere and constantly having to take her up into DH office to say hello! Time for a slice of coffee and walnut cake I think! Anyone else?

hennipenni · 07/01/2008 14:13

Yes please would love a coffee to wake me up. Mindee 2 gone for an appointment. Mindee 3 sleeping hopefully- is very quiet so must be. Of to tidy pigsty room before afterschoolies and DDs come home.

ROSEgarden · 07/01/2008 14:17

ello me cocka sparra was wondering were you were!?

dont feel guilty for me!, i took dd to school this morn(no before schooly she has the pox!) and wont be working again till i collect dd and 1 mndee at 3pm!, as after schooly(has the pox as before)and other one has this bad bug!..mindee ive got is lovely and is no bother(10yr old) so we'll have a chilled fun afternoon just the three of us...got the insurance company phone call out of way!, out of my hands now just have to send photos in and fill out claim form for them, so belly not lurching anymore!

well better go get trainers on for school run, done loads of walking today(would have been better had i not went to maccy dees in town tho!), so am gunn atry keep it up and cut out crap frm now on!..wish me luck..ill need it
