Stop getting in here before me!!

What no food?

Going to mindee's Christmas show at school this morning. How dedicated am I?!

southernbelle77 · 19/12/2007 07:12

Only two days left for me - yayyyyyyyyyy!!

Having our party today and sorted out all the things we have made and the presents I have bought for the mindees last night so they can take them home after the party today (it's the last day for one but not the other but thought it wasn't fair to give presents to one today and not the other!!)

This is my first christmas as a childminder so really looking forward to having a party with them today

Looking forward to having a break too though

crace · 19/12/2007 07:17

Morning

Bah Humbug!!!

mumlove · 19/12/2007 08:07

Morning everyone, just been out to de-ice the car and just as I was finishing 2 mindees arrived early!
I have had to wake up my DD last week and so far this week so she could get ready for school, what's the bets that for the next 2 weeks she will be up at 6am!!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 19/12/2007 08:26

Morning, my neighbour just made me cry! I am such a wuss! She just gave me 2 bottles of wine to say thanks for taking her kids to school occasionally! (Don't tell Ofsted, they're not on the books!)

Whats up with you, Scrooge? (Katymac)

Katymac · 19/12/2007 08:34

here & here

It's all about stress

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 19/12/2007 08:54

Katy, hope you have a lovely day and not too stressful. Get yourself a bottle of red open and breathing for when you're finished tonight!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 19/12/2007 09:20

Morning all. No school run today in the end, was all ready with big coat and boots on, trying to hurry ds up to get out the door when I decided he wasn't actually well enough to go to nursery (staggering around like he was drunk). We're all knackered as he was up in the night with a bad cough and ended up in our bed and so not a good night's sleep So phoned nursery and now just waiting for girls to be dropped off by their MUM (au pair gone home for Christmas).

Anyway, not been around much (long story but lots of pregnancy related stuff going on which had lead me to researching, calling midwife/hospital at the times I'd normally pop on here when it's quiet).....have I missed anything????

Shosh - I've MSN'd you - you are brave posting what you did on that thread Had to be done though, I'm really beginning to see why they are concerned about her looking after kids (unless as you said, it's Ofsted in disguise!)

What's everyone up to today? Looks like another lazy day for us today (with potty training) and THINK I'm finishing around 2ish with the sisters - fingers crossed!!! Pre-schoolers last day too as it's her birthday party tomorrow and she's not at school on Friday so as she's TT only, that's it til 8th Jan . The sisters should be back on 2nd Jan but looks like I'm probably off after Friday so get between Christmas and New Year off, paid for (just waiting for sisters' mum to confirm not needed xmas eve and double pay baby's mum to confirm whether or not needs me for few hours on either Thurs/Fri after xmas for the walk she talked about (although last I heard she said not to worry and to go to my parents as they had said I wasn't needed originally).

Gosh, babbled on there as always, oh I'm soooooo tired, everything is a blur!!!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 19/12/2007 09:28

Hi Looney. You OK though?

I haven't done a schol run either today. Mindee not well, so he's at home. Mum very kindly dropped my money off on route to work anyway, so I'm going shopping.

I've only got one schoolie today and he goes at 5, so only max 2 hours work!

House is clean and tidy and slowly getting festive. Neighbour already mad me cry this morning, she only gave me a couple of bottles of wine! I always get very teary at this time of year. Dad died on Christmas Eve many years ago so if people are too nice to me, I well up!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 19/12/2007 09:33

Oh Mo.....big Christmas {{{ hugs }}} for you!! Hey, 2 hours work max and NO JURY SERVICE

I'm ok thanks, just not 100% sure about the baby now but have now arranged another blood test tomorrow which will let me know whether or not the problem I had was caught in time. It's thanks to LMGs that I spoke to midwife after my fall and got seen to!!! Anyway, I'm just one of these people who has to make sure everything is dealt with correctly so have been researching (sister has nearly died twice to 2 different things thanks to Drs/hospital being so cr*p!!!)

Did we decide when we were having our staff room Christmas party or have I missed it???

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 19/12/2007 09:36

Staff room party has't happened! Shosh is off this Friday, so that leaves tonight or tomorrow?

How is your sister? I hope she's resting up. It really does take a good 4 - 6 weeks to get over a ep, physically anyway.

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 19/12/2007 09:39

Oh, I thought it was all booked

My sis is fine apparently. I keep nagging as she went back to work after a week (or maybe 2). Anyway, she insists she's fine (she's the sort who would actually say if not!), well, apart from writing her car off on Friday!!! She finally got a negative pg test on Friday so can close that chapter so to speak.

Where are these girls??!?!?!?!!

drinkmulledwineoften · 19/12/2007 10:02

drinkmulledwineoften · 19/12/2007 10:05

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 19/12/2007 10:09

I'm doing my Christmas shopping on Friday night, but I'll be home by 9'ish. I can be fashionable late! Actually, it might make me stay awake for a bit longer, I'm usually beat by about 10!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 19/12/2007 10:12

I think mum must be having trouble doing everything herself at home - still no sign of them (due at 8.15 but if not here by 8.30, usually come after school run at 9.30)

drinkmulledwineoften · 19/12/2007 10:34

nobody has mentioned my new christmas name

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 19/12/2007 10:40

They finally arrived!

I didn't ask about the new name as thought it was someone new lol. Who is it then?

drinkmulledwineoften · 19/12/2007 10:45

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 19/12/2007 10:46
