Wintery greetings to you all.
How thick was that ice this morning! My fingers froze scraping it off.
Last time I need to collect from school at 12 today tomorrow mindee is staying all day as they have there xmas play to do, and preschool finshed last week.
I must remember to wrap all the mindees presents tonight, please remind me!!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 17/12/2007 11:24

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 17/12/2007 11:32

Oh, that's bad news FM.

I'm OK. Thankfully not on jury service this week and next! I was supposed to be, but managed to get out of it at the very last minute. Only had written confirmation of it on Thursday last week.

mumlove · 17/12/2007 11:33

I can't wrap them now as the mindees I've got here will see them. Also my DD wants to choose who get what colour of them and i can't remember what she said (no brains left).

BoysAreLikeReindeer · 17/12/2007 11:34

Morning all. No mindees today so have walked with school to church then back, 150 unruly children but they all sat beautifully in church and no-one got lost yay.

Well christmas party at charges school was a great sucess 48 ten year olds lots of food what was lovely was the number of them who actually said thankyou on their way out to the playground.

RudolphtheredROSEreindeer · 17/12/2007 13:34

oh total contract to our nursery party this morning, i was flabberghasted by the amount of children who screamed literally screamed "i want another cake, iwant more crisps, i want i want i want"!!!..i just looked on in disbelief and thanked god for my wonderful beautiful dd

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 17/12/2007 13:40

{grin] It was just for the grin! I've changed back now!

Thankyou is my favourite word! I am amazed at the amount of children that still don't say it as a matter of course! My dd ends up saying it about a dozen times if we're out for dinner! Every time someone puts something in front of her! I have to pull my Rainbows up on it all the time.

I do have a knack of getting my mindees to say 'Please Mo, I love you!' Quite naughty, but very funny!

RudolphtheredROSEreindeer · 17/12/2007 13:43

i DETEST i WANT..even my newest mindee who's three and can just about get his tongue round it bless him, now says "can i have xxx please?

if anyone says I WANT i say PARDON?, they soon catch on and all parents have comented on how polite they are becoming

OP posts:
MaureenMLovesmincepies · 17/12/2007 14:05

Well done EM! What a nice way to start Christmas!

Do you know, when I first joined up here, one of the first threads I started was about a mindee not saying please or thankyou and I so got flamed!

She was 2.5 at the time and high time she was making some noise that meant please and thankyou imho. It was so bad, that I was trying to teach her by bigging up the others when they wanted a biscuit and she wasn't getting one. I was even accused of being a bully and it was bordering on child abuse!

Needless to say, she got the hang of it in the end and I was NEVER nasty to her, but I think its very important.

RudolphtheredROSEreindeer · 17/12/2007 14:10

i dont mind HOW they say thankyou as long as they try to say it (new mindee sounds like FAK-OO?!, so could be cussing me as well, but he'll learn and im pleased he is trying

Yeah, will do. Just wish I'd never found a link I'd just found, making me worry now about this stuff about the hospital at the weekend/my fall etc. I really wish I could get some proper bloomin advice as I feel like I'm being fobbed off so far!!!

Off to school byeeeeeeee
