Shosh - are you working between Christmas and New Year? Presume I'm finishing at 6pm on 21st but at least it's just double pay baby as pre-schooler breaks up from school day before and is TT only (and I don't have her on 20th as it's her birthday and we're going to her party instead ) I'm sort of hoping baby will be picked up early as I have her overnight on 20th. Then, god knows if I have the sisters on Christmas eve - haven't been told I'm not needed Also presume I'm working between Christmas and New Year.

Mo - I'd be just the same, I really feel for you {{{hugs}}}

SS - I reckon you should for peace of mind. I was thinking of changing next year but now I think I'll remain a member!

eleanorsmum - fingers crossed!!

LMGs - I'm still crossing my fingers that the phone rings!

Well, I'm in my pj's all ready for bed, just going to catch up with Eastenders and eat dinner then I think it's an early night. Dh is out with some friends from work (before they all leave) and I'm soooo tired. Ds had us up from about 3-6am this morning, was sick on our bed twice but not proper sick, more mucus sick. Mindees still came as they chose to and tbh, don't think it's a bug and he's not been sick again. Double pay baby was FULL of cold, bad chest I had been warned and I said if she's ok in herself it was fine. They cancelled me having her overnight due to her being bad at night and then dad rang in a panic late afternoon saying their meeting (work at same place) had overun and was still ongoing and could I pretty please have baby overnight. I said I have no milk, steriliser etc (and he was like oh bugger, didn't think of all that) but I said I've got cartons of other brand baby formula, I can strerilise with boiling hot water and I have food in the house so she'll survive. He was VERY grateful and i got off the phone quick as had lady round here (the one whose booked to start in New Year but wanted to discuss things now I'm pregnant). The meeting went well and she's very keen to still use me until I leave and lots of options were discussed and IF she confirms what she thinks she'll do, it's the BEST possible outcome for me so FINGERS CROSSED! And bless, I know double pay baby is really chesty and shouldn't really be here but you know what....I don't mind when I get lovely texts saying how wonderful I am, how they are SO grateful adn SO sorry etc etc. After the headache I've caused mum over me being pregnant, I'm glad to help Just hope baby sleeps through and same for ds, could do without a broken night tonight!!!

Oops, went on there a bit didn't I Can you tell I'm sat here all alone!!!

Cup of tea and a Mars Bar I think, then I'll get some dinner! (Buba loves Mars Bars atm )

Crikey Looney, you're on a roll tonight! Thats all that matters, isn't it? A couple of text messages to know that you're worth it! Glad it seem to be all falling into place. I knew it would! Do you remember only about 3 weeks ago, things were so not going your way? I told you it would all work out!

I've just noticed Kiddcare is asking for help on a thread - I'm gonna shoot over and see what I can do.

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 21:22

BTW, I finish on 14th for Christmas, then I've got two sodding rotten weeks of jury service. I even asked the doctor today, if she would declare my bloody pressure too high to do it! Oh, I've got high cholesterol to go with y high blood pressure now too!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 21:22

Oh god I didn't mean , I meant . V. v.

shoshaliteupthetree · 06/12/2007 21:28

Mo I got out of Jury Service, just wrote saying that as i provided a service which others relied on I couldnt do it, Thay said fine and never heard from them again

Tried that, they weren't interested. The nurse I saw today said the same thing, she got out of it a couple of times, but rules have changed now, she's done it 4 times! You're not out of the wood yet!

shoshaliteupthetree · 06/12/2007 21:46

Can i hide????? It would be a complete disatster if I had to do it, all my children are 7.30-4.30 all the parents a Army, Mums and Dads, some are away as well, and we have no spare spaces within the area.

OP posts:
MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 22:02

Well lets just hope it doesn't come up. You are expected to do it up until 70, so I assume you won't still be minding then? They'll get you, one day .......

shoshaliteupthetree · 06/12/2007 22:05

Havnt got that many years to worry about it then

Mo - I know, I feel sooooo valued atm, it's lovely And this lady round the corner said she'd not go to any other CM so it's me or nursery and of course nursery is more expensive so fingers crossed - it's already like we've known each other forever!!! I still have double pay baby's mum unsure about long term etc. but for now, we're fine
