Not yay.

I've got jury service starting on 17th remember. I'm so, so, so upset about it. It keeps coming over me in waves and I get all teary. I really am that upset about it and I'm never like that!

SweetSnowflake · 06/12/2007 08:31

mumlove · 06/12/2007 09:43

Mindees all here now so off to toddlers for a play and coffee.

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 11:42

Anyone in? I've got a letter personally addressed to me & dh from dd's secondary school. It looks very official and I don't want to open it alone!

It'll probably be a news letter or something, but its not a mailshot type letter. The name & address is in big bold 'OPEN NOW!' letters!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 06/12/2007 11:43

OPEN NOW - I'm here (baby napping )

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 11:44

Oh good! - hold on......

SweetSnowflake · 06/12/2007 11:45

howay Mo!....?????

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 11:47

It reads:

Dear Mr & Mrs

I am writing to inform you of the excellent work Little Mo has presented in her Drama lesson.

Little Mo is showing great understanding of the subject and is producing some excellent work.

Please share with us in congratulating her and encourage continued concerntation and focus in her Drama lesson.

Yours blar, blar!

I always said she was a drams queen!

SweetSnowflake · 06/12/2007 11:49

Awwwwwwww, that IS LOVELY!, how nice to take the time to write to you and comment so you also tell her how good she is..bless her, bet she gets a little treat now

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 06/12/2007 11:52

Oh bless, that's really good they took the trouble to write to you - you must be dead proud

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 11:55

Gimmie a minute, on the phone to Kbear!

SweetSnowflake · 06/12/2007 12:04

well am gunna have to wake mindee up to take to nursery, its his second week and hes totaly shatterd bless him, was falling aslee into his lunch...think ill give him a rest and take the buggy today, plus its been pouring down so may need it to keep him dry...fingers crossed he go's ok as its been a bit iffy as hes only a bub

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 12:16

Very pleased! I did know that they let you know of anything good. They either announce it on the website, write in their contact book or send a letter. I like the letter best, because I can file it in her school box. Kbear just said the same Looney, about a pressie. Not on your life! Budget spent for December I think! Also, she is expected to do well, not for reward. I will congratulate her and give her a hug and send her on her way to empty the dishwasher and get on with her homework! I'm 'ard me!

SweetSnowflake · 06/12/2007 13:05

just a thought as im sorting out now mindees a ll at school, does you dd like music?, i have a cd here which i went mad for, quite trendy, but its on my mps player now and cd now no use to me..its the saturday sessions dermot oleary and has treny bops on like amy wingehouse fratellis etc???..if she would like that i could send it to you and you could give her it as a belated well done?, i could get it out first thing in morn?

SweetSnowflake · 06/12/2007 13:10

Also, reg my problem today, dya think its worth registering as a member again with NCMA?, itll cost me £45 if they let me renew(lapsed in Sept) or £60 if a new member???

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 13:19

Thats very sweet of you! If you don't want it, I'm sure she'll be thrilled! I'll put a return address on the card.

It might be worth taking advantage of a re-newal for NCMA, you might never need them, but maybe this episode has proved, that its worth having for peace of mind.

BTW have a look at what I got for Christmas from Ebay this morning!

SweetSnowflake · 06/12/2007 13:21

some fairy lights? or a sparkly new laptop pre programmed with MN as screen saver???..no prob about the disc, if too late for well done gift, wrap it up for Christmas, it only been played to download!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 13:35

Not a sparkly new laptop thats for sure! this one is as old as the hills and takes 20mins to boot up in the morning! Its largely because dd downloads all sorts of crap onto it. That problem is solved though, she's got her own coming for Christmas!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 06/12/2007 13:42

Think I'm just about to loose my early starter. Mum just texted to say she was pickingher up early tomorrow and did I have time for a cuppa. I knew it was coming tbh, she's just split from her fella and getting her to me is gonna be a nightmare. She'll finish at Christmas, oh god thats next week, I'm on jury service after that! Like you, gesture of goodwill, I won't make her do notice. She is the best mindee and family ever, I am well loved and looked after.

SweetSnowflake · 06/12/2007 13:43
