Kay, I have the opposite problem, most of my mindees come with all hats, scarves, gloves woolly jumpers etc, I spend so much time making sure that their well wrapped up and have all their gear on that I forget about DD and just about have time to zip up her coat as we fly out the door

I think I must be the only one in the staff room with out any xmas decks up!

Got poorly mindee today and the other one fell asleep...very unusual is that!

Hennipenniinapeartree · 03/12/2007 14:53

they're not their

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 03/12/2007 15:49

I haven't got the decs out yet Henni! In fact, I don't think any of mindees are going to see my decs this year. I start jury service on 17th December, and I usually do them that weekend, so it'll all be taken down again before they come back after Christmas! It does mean, that for the first time in 12 years, I don't have to keep things up high or safe, because there won't be any little ones getting up to mischief with them!

Glad I'm not the only one then! didn't realise you were doing jury service, are you able to claim back for lost earnings?

Hmm, I'm not sure what to do about my tree this year. I have a very inquisitive 15 month old and I have visions of said mindee wearing the tree or burying himself in it or trying to climb it!

No decs here in the dog household yet, DP is very dour Scot, so tree gets bought on around three days before Xmas.

Hope you all had a good day.

I am waiting for DP to get in from work, so that I can go to Tesco, didn't get chnace to do it on the weekend.

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 03/12/2007 18:18

Yes, I can claim back loss of earnings, but its only 2 days, so I may not bother with the hassle of it tbh. I've got service between 17th and 29th December - nice, so I'd already booked xmas week off. Hopefully there won't be much going on, although I am at the High security Belmarsh prison court! My plan is to say I know the defendant, so I don't have to do it! Bit worried I will recognise people actually, I only live 10 mins from the court! At least if they don't need me, I can be home quick. Its just a bit of a bugger, because I can't plan any fun over the Chirstmas period.

No decs here until nearer the 15th, but still have 3 birthdays to celebrate 1st on the (14,17,18).
Will put up xmas things that mindees or DD make before that.

KaySamuels · 03/12/2007 20:18

No decs here either but putting them up on saturday.

maximummummy · 03/12/2007 21:29

no xmas deco's here either it's ds's b.day next week so we don't do xmas stuff till after his birthday is over
i'd really like to do them on xmas eve so kids would come down in morning and it would be gorgeous and blingtastic . . .
i think that they (mine & mindees) just get too over stimulated with all the xmas stuff all through town on tv and peoples houses
