A large coffeee would be great thanks.

LoveMyGirls · 30/11/2007 08:21

Morning everyone,

No mindee's here this morning so I got up late, turning the place into chaos and what do i do? SDit here telling you lot when i should be sorting it out I think i'll take dd1 to school then come back and tidy up and then go over to my mums and then we've arranged to go to a garden centre and look at all the xmas decs at least then if this lady does call me back I can arrange to meet her here when she likes without thinking oh no its a tip!! (currently glitter on the carpet, washing up to be done etc!)

LoveMyGirls · 30/11/2007 08:22

Oh yeah, can everyone please have everything crossed for me today!!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 30/11/2007 09:19

Morning! Just back from the school run and mindee is already asleep on my lap. Poor little thing has no routine at home what so ever. I know he was out with mum all day yesterday and when they returned at 5, he was asleep in the car. She left him there and so he was wide awake at 7pm and didn't go to bed until gone 10! Being up and out at mine by 8am, dosn't make for a happy boy!

Kinda mucks up my morning a bit, I was going to take him and other mindee to the library before lunch, but now we'll have to stay here. He's got to sleep, he's shattered poor love.

Going to make Reindeer tree decks when he is in a better frame of mind!

mumlove · 30/11/2007 09:35

Have a great morning, i am off to toddler group with my 2 mindees.

fruitloop79 · 30/11/2007 09:39

Ooh Mo, reindeer tree decks? what's that? sounds interesting

Well I've got 3 under 3 and an 8 year old today (teacher training day). Dropping DS at nursery in a bit then on to group with the rest of em.

Was busy wrapping presents for Father Xmas last night for a xmas party at group next week. Actually didnt take long once I got into momentum.

Got a CM Xmas do tonight. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I've got zero cash till pay day so cant get steaming drunk . HURRY UP PAY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! - I'm really looking forward to buying my make n do stuff! - I obviously dont get out enough

Have a good morning everyone, I'll come in at lunch with a tray full of flapjacks

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 30/11/2007 09:40

Morning all. I need chocolate!!! I'm soooooooooo tired, sister was rushed into hospital yesterday evening and had emergency surgery at 9.15pm so I was waiting by the phone and didn't get a call to say she was out til 1.05am then I couldn't sleep (had JUST got off to sleep at that point). Anyway, off to put the kettle of and having tea with a NORMAL teabag, little bit of caffeine won't hurt will it?!!

Mo - poor boy Reindeer decs sound cool

LMGs - good luck

SweetSnowflake · 30/11/2007 09:56

your sister looney?, how is she and what was wrong?

LMG, posted on other thread, have you heard back yet?

and reindeer decs?..please share oh and my bloody c.d dec's ended in disaster, all the glitter glue keeps peeling/falling off!

got mindees age 21 months and 3 yrs this morn, what can we make that they wouldnt want to eat/stick up their nose/glue to my sofa???????

got loads of those styrofoam(sp) white shaped things for snow scene but am thinking choking hazard with 21 months as she likes to 'test' things

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 30/11/2007 10:11

SS - yes, my sister. She's had a right time of it recently, long story but basically in a violent marriage, was put in a 'safe house' a few weeks ago and she has a boyfriend (it's been going on for a couple of years on and off) and although she was sterilized in Sept, she rang me on Tuesday in a state saying she was pregnant. I told her to go to the Dr's and get scanned asap, Dr was doing referral letter and she was to wait. After much nagging from me, she went down to the hospital the next day where they couldn't see anything other than thickening of womb due to being too early but did blood test and she was due to go again today for another blood test. She was told to watch out for pains in her side in case it's ectopic. I said she must watch out for shoulder pain but she said they didn't say that and I said I don't care, I know what I'm talking about!!! Anyway, she got phonecall on Wed afternoon saying hormone levels very high so very possible ectopic but come again on Friday and they were going to compare levels. I reminded her to watch out for shoulder pain. Got phonecall yesterday afternoon with her in lots of pain saying her shoulder was hurting in the morning but she carried on working as not too bad, had a lie down later as was annoying her and she woke up in AGONY - I nicely had a go and said I told her to get down the hospital if it happened as can get very bad very quickly - she hadn't because the hospital had never mentioned shoulder pain . Finally her boyfriend rushed her down around 4ish and she went to A&E, had blood test, was told VERY VERY high and trollied off - she had both tubes removed in a 3 hour op starting at 9.15 last night!!! I'm soooooooo angry with the hospital!! Anyway, it was my sister's decision to have the other tube removed at the same time to make sure this doesn't happen to her again! She came out with oxygen tubes, fluid and blood tubes (don't understand it all really) and heart monitor etc. Not sure if that's normal? Phoned the ward this morning and I've got to wait til about 10.30am to try again as nurse not available! Anyway, I'm soooooooo knackered but just want to see my sister but she's 2 hours away and I'm working

Sorry, rant over

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 30/11/2007 11:45

Looney your poor, poor sister! Yes, its normal to have that many tubes and sadly its a sign of the times that they sent her home before confirming ep. I've had two and lost both my tubes too The first one I m/c and they have to check your hormone levels as they are supposed to half every 24/48 hours after m/c. So basically, they send you away having had a blood test and then check again a few days later. It obviously won't go down if your still pg, which she was, but it can take a few days.

After nearly two weeks with an ep and absolutely no pain what so over, they decided to do key hole to take a look and it was then that they realised it was ep. It was the worst one my hospital had ever seen, it was just on the turn from the tube into the uterus and they were amazed that I survived tbh.

The second one was a bit more dramatic. Loads of pain, couldn't breathe, nearly died (again) Just shows you, there'sno text book on these things.

I'll do Reindeer instructions later and put a picture on, baby just arrived!

mumlove · 30/11/2007 12:42

It's lunchtime and mindees are asleep. Older one doesn't normally sleep but has refused lunch so I don't think he is feeling well.
Off to have a read through some more threads.

mumlove · 30/11/2007 12:43

Looney - I hope your sister feels better soon.

fruitloop79 · 30/11/2007 13:26

I'm sooo dumb, sometimes I worry. Reindeer decorations duh!
Would still love to see a pic though

I wanted to do that CD dec thing but my Sainsburys doesnt have any free discs. Funnily enough DS made one at nursery today so at least i've got one which I'll put in my file for lovely Ofsted

Looney I hope your sis gets better soon, how awful

All my little kiddies in bed asleep. 8 yr old painting and watching The Incredibles. She's so good, wouldnt even know she was there.

I've got carrot and coriander soup for my lunch and a load of flapjacks

Havnt a clue what I'm gonna wear for this 'do' tonight. I've put about half a stone on so none of my jeans fit without major muffin top. It's gotta be leggings - elasticated waists are the way forward

Shosh where are you off to on your holiday? I'm going to Spain on the 21st - I'm more excited about the flight than the holiday, I'm such a big kid! DH hates flying so I can wind him up big time

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 30/11/2007 13:33

FL! We still haven't made the Reindeer hangy things. Got baby here atm and he is a bit demanding. Both other mindees have made chocolate crispy cakes and fairy cakes this morning and are just finishing lunch now. I have a feeling they'll both drop off. Mindee 1 didn't stay asleep for long this morning afterall, so we did the library too. He'll be going in about an hour, then school run, then the others go home. Oh, not time!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 30/11/2007 13:34

Hold on! I made one with yesterdays mindees, I will put it on profile now!

shoshaliteupthetree · 30/11/2007 13:41

mo is it the ones i do that you hang from a clothes hanger

OP posts:
MaureenMLovesmincepies · 30/11/2007 13:50

Right its on. No not a clothes hanger one, good old craft foam again! I love it. You can work it out from the picture what you need, got a baby on my lap andtyping woith one hand!

fruitloop79 · 30/11/2007 13:57

ahh, that's really cute Mo,

what's craft foam? Or have I just asked another really dumb question?

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 30/11/2007 14:04

Its really thin coloured foam. They sell tons of it in Hobbycraft, but its cheaper in Wilkinsons. Its wonderful stuff to work with, really nice to cut too. Don't draw on it with pen though, it doesn't dry and comes off all over your hands! PVA does work on it, but takes ages to dry, so I use glue dots, because its instant. You do know what craft foam is, I'm sure! I'll find a link.

SweetSnowflake · 30/11/2007 14:05

LoveMyGirls · 30/11/2007 14:36

Really quickyl as only just got in and need to go back out in 15mins, lady that rang wants care for a baby and a 4yr old (only 5 sessions so not classed as over 5) 1 day a week, i explained about being over numbers and would have to ask ofsted etc she said could she start 1 with me and then the other later when ofsted agreed so in the end she said she would come one afternoon nxt week and meet me as wants to get an idea of what cm's are like as she has only ever used a nursery (fair enough don't mind meeting her even if doesnt work out the more people that meet me the more that will talk about me and it gets my name and rep spread around which is good news) SO should i......

A. Meet her and if she wants me start with 1 then ask for variation and then take the other in the hope she will want more hours for the baby as older one goes to school nxt sept.

B. pass her onto my cm friend who i know has the places the lady wants and would be happy and willing to dedicate 1 day a week to her. (I believe in karma and so maybe if i did this things would work out for me because i helped others) With faith things will work out even better if i pass this up.

I am struggling with money but would rather take on someone with 1 child who wants 5 mornings or a couple of after schoolers in an ideal world so even if i did take this on and ofsted agreed etc etc is it worth it for 1 day a week when a motnh or 2 later someone could come wanting more?

mumlove · 30/11/2007 15:50

It's still raining here and I need to go to school in 10mins to collect my DD. I am going to get wet aren't I!
