Thanks for the messages people. Well she's actually hoping to go home tonight but has to go back next week because...........no sign of baby in tubes therefore very possible she's still pregnant and if she is, they need to terminate otherwise she'll bleed to death later on if she continues!!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 30/11/2007 18:47

Going home tonight? I was in for 5 days both times! Have the hospital said she can go or is she thinking of discharging herself?

On a lighter note, have you seen this thread? I can't decide if I want to post on it or not!

I know Mo - I know she's been pushing and pushing but sure they wouldn't let her go if she wasn't ok to - last I spoke to her then were going to unplug her bits (whatever that means) - surely they'd have her without that stuff first to see how she is? My main concern is this lack of knowing what's actually going on now they didn't find a pregnancy???

Very odd. The least they would do, after any operation is to make sure you can wee properly for 24 hours after you've had a catheter. I just can't imagine that she would be anywhere near ready to come home tonight. Was it keyhole or open surgery do you know? That might make a difference I suppose.

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 30/11/2007 19:57

Open surgery I'm pretty sure because she was in for 3 hours and I know someone had one tube removed by keyhole and was only half hour. Need to check though. And yes, she was walking around with a catheter earlier

Hey LMG, replying from yesterdays...do you want to pass her over to your friend?..could you manage financially without the one at minimum?

CranberryMartini · 30/11/2007 20:35

Oops I'm a bit late in here today. Sorry to hear about your sister Looney - hope she recovers soon.

It took me an hour to drive 4 miles this evening. Note to self do not go to soft play on a Friday afternoon.

Have fab weekends everyone!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 30/11/2007 20:39

CM - which one did you go to? Madhouse? Yippee's Yard? My mate came over around 4ish and the traffic from Earley to here was bad she said!

LoveMyGirls · 30/11/2007 21:17

SS - I did ask my friend but she didn't want to do it and she also passed on someone wanting 2 full days in jan so I'm thinking though it will be a bit hectic I could drop 2 afternoons with one of my current mindees (which shouldnt be a problem) and take on all new ones if i can get a variation but until i got a variation mum said she was happy to just send the older 1.

Just have to wait and see, at the moment i've got a lady coming on tue to see me (she may not even choose me but if she does I will be needing some help on asking for a variation, will have 4 under 5 for prob 3 and half hrs, 2 hours of which at least 2 maybe 3 if i can manage it will be napping so would think Ofsted may agree to that as it would only be 1 day a week)

and i've emailed mum of baby wanting to have 2 full days in jan and am hoping she will come and see me. If I manage to get all of these I would still have 2 days where i only have 2 two yr olds up til 3pm. This would mean I would be as full as i would want to be for the first time in about 7/8mths!
