Dont know quite what happened, but raring to go this morning, been up fot hours, so have sat and played around with a photo each of my mindees, turning the black and white and soft focus around the edge sort of thing, going to blow them up to A4 size and give them to parents as Christmas Pressies

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 22/11/2007 08:02

Also hee hee is that DS2 got pooped on by a bird on the walk to school this morning. He couldn't quite see the funny point. Oh dear.

Have a good day y'all

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 22/11/2007 10:09

Can't see it, it's been cancelled. Try again.

Having a melt down over a Christmas night out with Kbear atm. Too hacked off to discuss right now, but we may ask WWYD later!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 22/11/2007 13:35

Would it be wrong to have a G&T right now? I've got no kids until 4.30 and they're both over 8, so I could get away with it.

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 22/11/2007 13:43

Hi everyone

Having a horrible day where I'm like a zombie through major tiredness, have baby in a right sensitive state today and I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep. But....can't even though baby napping as need to eat something and off on school run in 45 mins.

Mo - what's up chuck?

BoysAreLikeReindeer · 22/11/2007 13:44

Oh dear Mo, have a nice cup of tea and pop neighbours on. The anaesthetic effect will be similar

Ask us WWYD when you are calm

HTH

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 22/11/2007 14:00

I asked Didn't want to clutter the Staff room up with non essential stuff! Problem kinda solved now, but still not all together happy about it.

I've been laying on the settee for the last two hours trying to shift a headache, which is still there. When will I be old enough to put my feelings first, eh? I hate being a grown up at times.

BoysAreLikeReindeer · 22/11/2007 14:11

Sorry Mo

Read more before engaging keyboard

Hope your headache has faded

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 22/11/2007 14:20

Can I just ask your thoughts on this.....

Tomorrow morning is my dating scan, I decided yesterday that I'd tell parents next week but then realised I can tell 2 of them tomorrow when they collect. This just leave parents of the 2 sisters - I haven't seen them this week and only saw them once last week (au pair is the one I see these days). Do you think I could tell her on the phone? (she told me on phone when she was pregnant with number 2) or do you think I should say I need a meeting with them (knowing that they will find it very hard to find the time)?

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 22/11/2007 14:21

Gosh.....just realised, ds will be here so somehow need to get him out of the way when I tell them. It would be so unfair for him to hear about it that way!!

crace · 22/11/2007 14:29

Hiya looney, a running visit but I am thinking this one through myself. I had my dating scan last week, and all was well but I am not going to tell parents for a while. Only due to us being away for 2 weeks in November and week before I was off due to my 23 month old having a severe gastro bug and put in hospital for 2.5 days.

Long story short, I think they would high tail and give notice if I told them on top of all that. I wouldn't blame them in fact.

I think on the phone is ok, you never see them right to tell face to face and phone call is better than email. Good luck tomorrow, I am sure everything will go great

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 22/11/2007 14:29

I think its fair enough to tell them on the phone. I think you might scare them a bit, if you say you need to make a meeting!

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 22/11/2007 14:31

Oh crace, poor baby. That must have been horrid for you. Everything ok now?

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 22/11/2007 15:36

Crace - poor baby How they are ok now! I can understand you wanting to wait With me it's a case of a) I've got punch on maternity jeans which I keep showing by accident on school runs and stuff when holding baby and dead worried of parents seeing and guessing that way and b) desperate to tell ds

I agree about phone so thanks for that.

Just found out double pay baby's mum is not coming to pick up tomorrow (staying tonight) so I just hope she's at toddlers on Monday so I can tell her as I really want us to tell ds this weekend. I'm not going to tell baby's dad as although he's LOVELY, I think mum would be most upset hearing second hand!

crace · 22/11/2007 18:24

Yes, thank you all is well now but she lost loads of weight, and being thin anyway it was very uncool. She was vomitting for 6 days in the end, and it seemed like that was our new life after while. Mucho stressful, and staying in the hospital just sucked. But anyway, all that ends well and all that.

LT - I still haven't told mine either, and I would love to be able to tell everyone. So you should! Good luck tomorrow, you must be very excited. I was over 12 weeks at mine and it was just amazing what they could see.

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 22/11/2007 18:38

Cheers crace, I should be excited but I'm more nervous. Let's just say this pregnancy has been a worrying one but hopefully if this scan is ok, I'll stop worrying about the previous bleeding and total lack of symptoms and just think myself luck

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 22/11/2007 20:13

Anyone want to speak to the worst childminder in the whole wide world.

(its not that bad, but I feel quite shitty about it!)
