best day of teh week, Swimming, love it , inthe water by 9.15, hours swimming, changed and snack before we leave the pool at 11.00, and all the little fish fall asleep in the car, transfer to bed and I get to sit down for 2 hours (even little girl mindee will sleep for two hours after swimming) with a coffee and admin (well MN) up and fed, no school run on a Friday afternoon, and most have been picked up by 3, the last gone by 4, oh I do love Fridays

oh I get it! Duh!!! Yeah, might pop in if my DB doesn't give me too much hassle for being on P.C instead of giving the poor soul attention.

Oh yes, it can get worse. I think ds has chicken pox. Whoopy do! Thank goodness it's Friday.

OH SM!! Stock up on calamine and piriton!

Well mine has gone ok I guess....one mindee had the day off and the other ended up going home early and I was supposed to have lots of girlie mates round but now only 1 is coming which suits me because im shattered anyway

Also have decided I have too been too harsh and too quick to judge mindees mum, i htink she lacks support and is doing her best and with some help she may be able to do better for mindee. I'm starting by gathering some winter clothes for mindee to help him and her so if anyone has any suggestions as to where I can get some boys clothes from please let me know. I'm already on free cycle and have asked a few people i know with boys if they can have a dig about.

where is this bar then??????

Strawbs - bicarb of soda in bath also helps and some swear by oats in muslin or tights and run under tap in bath then dab it on ds after to soothe. Appartently calamine cream is better and less drying than lotion but i didn't know that til after plus ds didn't want ANYTHING on them!

Fruitloop - it's in chat section I think

Well, had a good day despite having to finish minding a little lad as his Mum was better (he was a respite minding contract), I'd just about got into a routine too.(sad)

I've got another lined up now for 2 days a week, I don't mind having temp work as I get paid a decent wage from the local council and more or less guaranteed with a cheque. Am STILL waiting for an ex mindee's parents as the Mum had gone on mat leave early, gave me no notice when she had signed to 4 weeks on the contract. I don't know why I feel guilty asking for the money but it is my wage, if I was soft with all parents I wouldn't make any money would I? Parents are worse than the kids!

Oh well, back to watching Children In Need

Bye for now

Helen
