Morning all!

Morning. I'm off for a wash whilst ds eats breakfast. Supposed to be making his lunch for lunch club but he's decided (crying) he doesn't want to go. After a long chat, I've decided that he can miss it today as double pay baby not coming so no mindees. Just that it's unlike him to cry like that like it was unlike pre-school mindee to cry when her mum dropped her at pre-school yesterday - just hope it's not a sign of them coming down with this bug! Really wanted him in lunch club today as dh will find out about his job at 9am and will come straight home if he's chosen to be out - would have been nice to have just the 2 of us but never mind.

What's everyone up to today?

Katymac · 15/11/2007 08:11

Morning

I seem to have been poorly for weeks now
This latest one is really getting me down

Good luck LT for your hubby - I have my fingers crossed

mumlove · 15/11/2007 08:12

Morning everyone.
Looney - lets hope he's just beening like this because you house has had lots going on recently.

mumlove · 15/11/2007 08:13

Sorry I can't spell this morning, still asleep!!

MaureenMLove · 15/11/2007 08:14

Oh fingers crossed for dh Looney.

I've got no mindees til after school, but I've got a exceptionally stroppy 12 year old dd with me all day! Its because dh is away, she is bloody rotten! She's got an Academic day, which is where you get a 20 min appointment sometime during the day to see her form tutor. I'm not sure she's hoing to make it tbh, I will kill her before that. She is sooo f*ckin stroppy today. That'll teach me for letting her stay up late 2 nights in a row!

looneytune · 15/11/2007 08:26

Thanks everyone, we're just glad the day has come - he's been in limbo like everyone at work - it's been a bit like when I had to wait for my scan, I was very up and down!

As for ds, he's going to lunch club - I realised that shopping is coming at 10-12 due to me having no mindees and him being at lunch club. If dh does NOT come home and if shopping not here by 11am - I wouldn't be able to get to nursery in time so I've explained and he's fine now. I said I'll get him if I can (but as he's fine, I'll just let him go as usual - I need a bit of space with dh if he's at home!)

eleanorsmum · 15/11/2007 08:43

Then the same mad pick up later, organised that one school will hold on to child for 10 mins as they all finish at the same time!!! another is being dropped off to me by a her frinds mum, arggggggggggggggggggg

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 15/11/2007 09:22

Ellie - oh, fingers crossed!! I wasn't ttc for a long time but I was having fertily tests anyway due to family history of POF and Dr was concerned about my age (even though I'm only 31, mum was 29 when menopaused, grandma my age and aunty was few years older). Anyway, once I stopped ttc as such (i.e. just did the business when we wanted but without the pill), that's when I fell pg Good luck to you!!

Shosh - you mad woman - I'm not swapping thanks, I'm enjoying no mindees til 2.45 thanks!! (plus dh may need a cuddle soon - waiting for the phone to ring....ARRGHHH the wait!!! )

fruitloop79 · 15/11/2007 09:24

Morning everyone, I have an extremely stroppy 11 month old. Thought I'd say hi before I go off to parent and toddler group.

I had to scrape the ice off my car this morning with a 'wheels on the bus' CD cover, couldnt find my sodding ice scraper anywhere! So typical when in hurry!

I'll catch you all at lunchtime when kids in bed (I cant wait - I need peace!)

Um, yes, I am addicted to this now

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 15/11/2007 09:29

All these people scraping cars I just pop out 10 mins before leaving and turn the engine on......when it's time to go, hey presto, all done

Fruitloop - enjoy group

I'm off for a shower whilst I wait for hubby to come home - yes, he has been given notice of redundancy. Poor bloke, FORTH time he's been made redundant now

Catchya later

eleanorsmum · 15/11/2007 09:54

poor him ,looney and you! lifes a bum sometimes.

i've treid leaving engine on but am petrified of someone nicking it! don't live in the best area!

had just had first blood test for checking my ovulation and am waiting results! have got everything crossed now and feel ok at mo (usually feel cruddy before p comes.......) watch this space!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 15/11/2007 10:42

Yep, life can be a bum!! I wouldn't be so worried if it wasn't for having been here before and seen how hard it is for him to get a job - and it's at that bad time of year again!! GRRRR Anyway, fingers crossed he has such luck with time with little beany on the way!!

Good luck and let us know when you've tested!! Quite often happens when people have just gone for tests etc!

SweetSnowflake · 15/11/2007 10:42

oh no loony, is he working his notice?, will they give him anything? can they offer him something else in company?

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 15/11/2007 10:57

He has to work his notice but he got to go home today and he's insisted on having tomorrow off to hit all the job agencies. He'd already asked for other jobs in the company at other meetings - they've turn him down He'll get a tiny bit of money but it will only cover a month's worth of income and last time he had no job, it took him THREE MONTHS to get even a temp job and that was with him ringing and constantly pestering them!!!

LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 15/11/2007 10:59

It hasn't been SO bad in the past as we didn't have the big mortgage we have now (we now have a HUGE mortgage but a very standard house!) Oh well.....no point in stressing about it

MaureenMLove · 15/11/2007 11:50

Oh cra*p! Positive thinking though Looney. You're right, there no point getting stressed about something out of your control. Lets hope this is only a blip and he can get himself another job quick smart.

OP posts:
LOONEYplayingachristmasTUNEy · 15/11/2007 12:18

Mo - usually I'd be well stressed but I'm thinking of my bean We've been through enough worry about the pregnancy and once I saw everything was ok, I promised myself I'd be careful to not get stressed and risk things!! Just hope dh does better than he normally does - problem is, with so many people going, they're all out looking for jobs so of course more competition - he just worries about his age (he's not old but worries is age is a problem due to how things have gone in the past)

MaureenMLovesmincepies · 15/11/2007 12:31

What do you think? Not clever enough, is it? I'll have another think! (I'm talking about my name, if you hadn't worked it out!)

shoshaliteupthetree · 15/11/2007 12:51

Ok girls, bought that planning book from www.brightideasteaching.co.uk/epages/Store2.sf/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Store2.Shop1767/Products/950244

Its brilliant, it has weeeky and daily planning in it, and lots of extras like fire drill procedures (OK its American and had Tornado and Earthquake as well, dont need those, well maybe )

But has lots of other things in it I was well impressed with it.

fruitloop79 · 15/11/2007 12:51

Maureen, What about 'MAURmincepies'?

Ahhhh, peace at last! Got my cheese and tom sarnie in front of me and all kids in bed.

Got some lovely freebies at group this morning. New kids yogurts and custards called 'Little Dish' - no added sugar or sweetners. Sweetened with concerntrated grape juice. I got a pack of 4 custards (2 vanilla + 2 banana) and 2 strawb and vanilla yogurts. They're YUMMY!!!! Shame they're not fat free too

fruitloop79 · 15/11/2007 12:59
