OFSTED COMPLAINT - I don't believe, they've set me up!!!!!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 09:43

I can't believe it, I'm DEVASTED and I want to take action!!! I received a complaint from OFSTED today about photo's of mindees being on my Facebook page and a link to my website etc!! They said they want to know if I have parental permission and OF COURSE I bloody do!!! The only mindees on there are the ones who's parents are on Facebook and it's an easy way of seeing photo's, video clips etc!!! I KNOW it's an internal set up - remember the OFSTED group I found that said those horrible things and then they saw what we were up to and removed the group - that will be it!!!

How do I complain about this? I now have a strike against my name and I'm furious!!!

SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, just had to vent as I'm shaking with anger!!!

Shall I quickly let the BBC know about this too so they can mention it!!! (joke)

oh god poor you
dont worry bout it if you have all the rel forms filled in and parents are aware of what you have done nobody can do anything

ExplosiveScienceT · 01/11/2007 09:46

Why don't you just give the information they are asking for, ie reassurance that you have permission from the parents?

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 09:59

I'm giving all that and it's not a problem but the complaint stays against you and that's it. I suppose I'm more furious because I've been set up by an OFSTED person because of this stuff going on and because I found their group that said we work at ofsted - we're awesome...we own you and now they are trying to get me back for mentioning this etc.

(you'll know what I'm on about if you've been following all the OFSTED stuff over the last week or so on here)

Looney. Sit down, have a cup of tea, breathe and stop! I know you are furious about this, but dealing with this now you may say something you regret and its not good for your bloody health! You can't do this today. Switch it off!

I wish I could be there with you now to help sort it, but you really really need to try to put it on the back burner.

Your parents know you've done nothing wrong, it will be a simple call to OFSTED, calmly telling them that there has been no unauthorized pictures anywhere. Believe it or not, even the people that work for OFSTED can be understanding. They have to follow rules, just the same as we do. I wuldn't be suprised if half of them feel the same way about the whole thing as us.

Please try to calm dowm, I worry you know!

MaureenMLove · 01/11/2007 10:03

YOu know what chat rooms ae like, we have the same sort of 'trolls' on here. Its just a couple of people from OFSTED doing the same thing, delibarately trying to cause a ruck.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 10:03

Mo - having spoken to a local CM friend, OFSTED are known for giving bad reports etc if you upset them!! I am trying to stay calm but it's hard when i've been SET UP

Off for a cuppa. Thank god I have sleeping baby!

write a letter to them address to highest person you can find and ask why, when they didnt even bother to enquire first, did they give you a black mark about this when in actual fact, you HAVE permission slips, so surely they cant hold this against you!, you HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG!?

ledodgy · 01/11/2007 10:12

How can they see your facebook page if you haven't invited them as a friend or haven't you made your profile private?

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 10:25

MI - I'm dealing with it

ledodgy - it wasn't set to private but sorting that now for the photo's section. Parents are fine about this though.

are you SURE its not a parent thats complained?

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 10:30

Yes. PLUS....those photo's have been on for ages and it's a bit of a coincidence isn't it! (again unless you've followed all the stuff over the last week or 2, it won't make sense)

I've emailed asking if it was a parent or another source and they have passed it onto their Freedom of Information team

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 10:38

It's what this BBC thing is all about. I'll link original thread in a sec

Have you got media interest then, Looney? I lurked on the thread with the link to the FB Ofsted group but didn't have anything useful to say beyond "OMG!" so I didn't post.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 10:42

BBC news reporter was supposed to be interviewing me last Thursday but I backed out (threatened miscarriage) and smeeinit has kindly stepped forward to take my place. She's being interviewed today and it might be on tonight (BBC London News)

hunkermunker · 01/11/2007 10:43

Oh, Looney! Are you OK? Glad it's getting coverage.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 10:47

Well I've had such a wait to get another scan to confirm if baby is alive or not, the next scan is tomorrow - I really could do without this OFSTED thing....I'm beginning to wish I'd never started it all now - I only wanted to do something because SOOO many people feel VERY strongly about it, I thought it was about time to do something. We've already been in the Daily Telegraph and then BBC reporter was desperate to do the story and I thought YAY but now I'm just fed up tbh!!

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 01/11/2007 10:49

Will be thinking of you tomorrow xx

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 12:03

Thanks, to top it all........just been on phone to dh.....looks like he will be made redundant next week with zero pay

Talk about having a bad week!!!

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 01/11/2007 12:06

Oh, no! How long has he worked there? Look into statutory redundancy - might be better than you think?

MissInvisible · 01/11/2007 12:08

Oh FFS!!!
Whats going on!, why no pay?

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 01/11/2007 12:19

NO pay because been there less than 2 yrs - they don't have to give ANYTHING

mrspnut · 01/11/2007 12:28

BSL - did they say whay they passed it to their FOI team? because it's covered by the data protection act not the FOI act.

I'd write, enclosing £10 asking for a copy of all the information they hold about you. They have to comply with this request within 28 days although they may remove details of the complainant.

Get your DH to start looking for work as soon as possible and the other stuff I dont know about.
