Morning all! I'm off to Didcot Railway Centre this morning with a Thomas fanatic. Can't wait!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

One mindees mum is in hosp
Mum of 2 has used all her leave
one's Grandmas have refused to look after child again (both sides)
One has SN & mum needs a break

??

I dumped all the OOS & those I can legitimately lose

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 21:21

You're being too nice. The fact is, you are ill and as much as you don't want to let people down, you are not doing yourself any favours by working.

Mother who is in hospital - she must have someone, who can help in emergency.

Grandmas that won't have children & mother who has run out of leave - they will just have to phone in sick themselves! At least they'll still get paid.

Mother of SN child - well, you need a break too!

You cannot look after after peoples children if you are not 100% and what's your policy on infectious diseases? Aren't you carrying infection yourself?

Katymac · 24/10/2007 21:24

GP says prob not

I have help tomorrow - so I may sit on the settee and supervise

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 21:28

OK, if you can sit all day, then thats not so bad. I do know exactly how you feel though. I have had one sick day in 12 years and that was because I was rushed to hospital with a EP!

Katymac · 24/10/2007 21:29

When I had an EP I was in Hospital for 6 days & off work for 3 months

Megsdaughter · 24/10/2007 21:34

Awww Katy and Looney, I hope you are feeling better tomorrow, looney let us know the results of your Scan on Friday.

Guess what DH went out and bought me two lovely female rats this afternoon, Opal and Onyx.

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 21:36

Conveniently, it was the last day of the summer term and I only had term time kids at the time! So I was in hospital for a week and then got 5 weeks off and then figured, they were only after schoolies, so I could cope.

Do you know, until I started MNing, I only knew one person who'd had an EP and now I know loads! Actually, I've had two.

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 21:37

Still can't get my head around why any would want a rat in their house, but thats nice anyway!

Katymac · 24/10/2007 21:41

Did you have tube burst? How big was your bruise?

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 21:49

The first one was just on the turn from the tube into the uterus, aparently the size of a grapefruit! God knows how I was still alive tbh. Only half of the tube was removed though. Pointless really, but I guess they only take what is necessary. The surgeon said, it as the worst he'd ever seen and then 6 months later, I had the other tube burst. That was blue lights and everything.

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 21:50

I don't remember having a bruise btw! I suppose I must have had.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 21:51

MegsD - thanks, I will

Katymac · 25/10/2007 07:41

Poor you

I remember the bruise vividly - it was the shape of a hammer - the head bit was above the tube burst and about 6 inches by maybe 10 or 12 inches and the handle bit went accross my body and was about 15 inches long & maybe 5 or 6 inches deep

DH said I looked like I'd been cut in half

I was about 13 weeks (which is unusual) & I'd had a D&C at about7 weeks

DH agrees with you btw about the rats - but I quite like them
