Morning all.
Strawbs - have a lovely morning.
Looney - big hugs for you and keeping my fingers tightly crossed.
My sister and her 2 children are comming to play today so will be very noisy here, where are the paracetamol!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 10:01

Thanks

Strawbs - sorry again, was really looking forward to it!!

Megsdaughter · 24/10/2007 10:09

Awww came down stairs this morning to find that Scabbers (our very very ancient Rat) had gone to Rat heaven during the night.

He has become more and more infirm over the last few months, and we knew he didnt have long, his fur had turned gray even, but still he was lovely, the children loved him.

Thank goodness my Darling boy who left in May wasn't about, he wouldnt speak to anybody till he had given Scabbers his morning treat, and Scabbers was his first really clear word (after Mama and Dada of course).

So have cleaned out his cage, sterilised everything, and tonight we are off to get two baby females, I dont want the cage to be empty when the mindees return next week.

mumlove · 24/10/2007 10:41

Megs - sorry about your loss and hopefully mindees will accept the new ones.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 10:46

Hi all, if anyone asks, I wasn't here. I'm not sitting on my bed MNing instead of putting stuff in the loft and cleaning. you didn't see me, right!

LT, fingers crossed for Friday. If its any consolation, I was 4 mths pg, before I knew beacause AF didn't stop at all.

Meg - I'm don't 'do' pets. In fact I have famously managed to kill my neighbours fish two years running when they were on holiday and also break the door key on another house, so I couldn't get in to feed the rabbit! However, sorry you had to wake up to that this morning and thankfully none of the children had to witness it.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 12:13

Cheers Mo - trying to keep positive - just doesn't help that I had a bad feeling BEFORE any bleeding but hey ho, what will be will be.

Trying to keep myself busy and........wait for it..........I'm in direct contact with someone from the BBC She contacted me direct via Facebook and I've just emailed her back at her bbc.co.uk email address!!!!!!

Off to make lunch for ds....will keep you posted!

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 13:39

Wow! Not here much this afternoon, going to do my market research, then I've got to clear up the aftermath of DH pulling a wall down! It is soooo loud here right now. I'm pearch on a stool in the kitchen with my laptop and all around me is thick dust! He's just invited a family for dinner too! twit! Got to make two cakes tonight as well! I will get back on at some point tonight though.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 13:42

Mo - is this the £50 job? Nice one!!!

Right.....volunteers to speak up on TV??? Only joking but hey....you NEVER KNOW!!

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 13:44

Yep! £50 to talk for 2 & half hours! I'll be a struggle, but I'll do, my best! It's about suntan lotion from Boots! The best one I had was testing gin. I came home drunk and £30 richer!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 13:51

How cool!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 14:43

The lady from BBC wants me to phone her..........what do I say? Where do I start?

mumlove · 24/10/2007 15:11

Afternoon, I am sitting down with a lovely hot coffee as sister and her 2 children have just left. The noise wasn't bad this time as I have a baby mindee here I think they were calmer.

Looney - can't the lady phone you to save you the cost of the call or is it a free phone number? I would just say what the childminders and parents have wrote on here.

mumlove · 24/10/2007 15:13

Mo - dusty cake sounds so nice

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 16:34

See the latest on this link

We've already been in the paper!!!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 18:59

Listen guys.....got myself into a mess....BBC reporter for local news coming tomorrow at 10am and wants to air it on Friday. I'm terrified. I didn't expect all this when I set the thread etc. up - I wanted to put something together to send to OFSTED blabla - not to be on the telly!!!!

I'm really worried now as supposed to be on bed rest. What do you think??? Cancel??? Postpone???

Mo - she asked if you were interested in them coming to you due to you leaving next year etc

I feel sick.....think I'll get dh to cancel

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 19:49

I really can't LT, I need to earn until the very last minute and if my mums get wind of me getting off, they won't think twice about looking elsewhere and I'll end up loosing valuable money. I need to finish CM on Friday and start work on Monday. I'm happy to do anything anonymously though.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 19:51

Totally understand mate - told her i didn't think I'd be able to get anyone else to do it and now I'm going to cancel anyway, it's a bit too fast for me especially with what's going on atm, wrong time!

Katymac · 24/10/2007 21:00

I think cancelling is the right thing to do btw

I have (officially) a throat infection, a chest infection, an ear infection, a problem with my sinuses,& an ingected mouth ulsa

I feel like crap & need to take the rest of the week off

I can't of course

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 24/10/2007 21:04

Yeah.....I DID cancel....went to the toilet and more bleeding. Felt a bit pushed into it tbh and I just want to rest and hope everything is ok and not think about this OFSTED stuff til after Friday now.

Katy - you sound run down luv, you need to rest!!!

MaureenMLove · 24/10/2007 21:05

Can you really not take the rest of the week off Katy? It'll only last longer if you don't.

mumlove · 24/10/2007 21:13

Looney - I think you have done enough already, go and put your feet up and forget about ofsted.

Katy - I agree with Mo, you really need to be in bed, you have already done most of the week. Take Thurs & fri off and then you also get the weekend to rest and you may feel beeter for next week (I'll phone the parents for you if you like and tell them).
