Sorry you're feeling rough, this is the first day I've felt back to normal after mine. It's crap isn't it, especially the sandpaper throat and aches - you have my sympathy.

Just off to phone Dr's for ds then I'll put the kettle on

SpooKAYsamuels · 10/10/2007 08:00

I'm full of cold too! Best dettol the staffoom and brew up some lemsip!

DS was 3 on Monday - can't believe it!

Ghostashoshabuster · 10/10/2007 08:03

At least with deciding not to go anywhere this wek as we all have it gives me a chance to try pottying my 19 month who keeps taking her nappy off and telling me 'bum' everytime she wees or poos.

saltire · 10/10/2007 08:12

Shosha, did you get my email yesterday?

MaureenMLove · 10/10/2007 08:16

Don't be giving me that cold, I pride myself on only having a cold every 3 years or so. I've discovered a floor in having my desk where it is. I can't see the screen at all at this time of the morning because the sun is shining right on it! I'm kinda leaning into it, so that my shadow is over the screen. Not terribly good for my back. Of course, I could get the hell off here and do some work, but wheres the fun in that!
Anyway, paper work day today, quick school run in a minute and then back for him at 3.10pm.

Ghostashoshabuster · 10/10/2007 08:19

Saltire never got a email. but MSN was playingup all day might be something to do with it.

Ok, will pass it on and re-send the email again, wonder if it's my end of things that's playing up?

MaureenMLove · 10/10/2007 09:41

You haven't seen me right? I clearing out the cupboard under the stairs!

mumlove · 10/10/2007 09:53

Shosha - you can keep your germs to yourself, only just had a cold.
Mo, i must remember to sort out my cupboard under the stairs, more and more gets put in but nothing out!

MaureenMLove · 10/10/2007 10:19

Finished! It wasn't as bad as I though, but then its not very big anyway. And the door is half height, so I bumped my head several times. What do you think we need 11 demijohns? I know we make wine, but thats a bit much. I've found a girls cycle helmet for an older child, maybe 6 upwards, if anyone wants it, you can have it.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 10/10/2007 10:37

Took ds to Dr's and he said today is day 6 of being like this and after a week they like a stool sample to send off so if still like this, on Friday morning I need to drop one off.

Got to let double baby's mum know that I'm closing for the rest of the week - advice from the Dr - I hate this, she's not going to be happy! And yesterday in an email she said she thinks we should go for a drink soon and have a good old whinge as she sees me as a friend - not sure she'll still feel like that after I let her down. Oh, and her dd DID get chicken pox!

Earthymama · 10/10/2007 10:52

It's so awful being child-free this week but too ill to take advantage of the time.

DP says I must be feeling better if I'm nagging about the house!

I hope you all have a good week and are back to full strength and energy soon.

I should be sorting advertising out but I'm too tired, this shingles is wearing and the anti-virul medication makes me dream so vividly that i dread falling asleep. Yesterday I dreamt that a man was picking wild mushrooms in our garden and came into the house..... through the wall! I woke up with such a start, my heart was racing and I was terrified.

Have a good day EM

MaureenMLove · 10/10/2007 10:57

Aw, take care EM. You need to just rest. I know what you mean about not having the energy to do anything. I've been there, when I was just out of hospital for something. My mind was healthy and buzzing, but my body didn't want to play! The house work will still be there next week and so will the mindees!

MissInvisible · 10/10/2007 11:04

Hi all, bit of a quicky then off toschool..dp just rang me to see if i fancy going to centre parcs in november, friday till monday, meaning i would finish at 1pm fri andback to work tues..this would onlly affect 3 after schoolys as one of my babies doesnt come fri or monday, my friday baby would change for another day(hopefully), full timer, well, tbh after this mornings problems with them again i am not that botherd about putting in the days with them! then the 3 schoolys...tbh i could prob pick up the after schoolys on the mon as wed be back and its only for 2 1/2 hours max soooo..should i????

i recently gave them a newsletter saying here are my planned hols and dont have anything else planned before then, would i look like a bitch from hell to slip and extra 1-2 days in????

Ghostashoshabuster · 10/10/2007 11:38

No go go. The pre xmas rush is tiring, get a break when you can.

OP posts:
MissInvisible · 10/10/2007 12:02

dya think?, and dya think i should rush back to do school pick up on the monday??

MissInvisible · 10/10/2007 12:04

oh and Shosh, do you still have my email?(my computer crashed so everyones address have gone!) cos i was talking to munz and had missed her thread about her and H, she said you could fill me in?..would you mind doing that please?

LoveMyGirls · 10/10/2007 12:10

I wouldn't rush back PC

I feel absolutly miserable - I hate being ill the place is a mess (not really bad but not up to my standards) and I just hate it, it makes me feel even worse and I think when we're ill I should be cleaning more to get rid of the germs. D'a think spraying some anti-bac febreeze will do?

I think I'm going to have a very very early night tonight, might go to bed as soon as mindee's go tbh.

MissInvisible · 10/10/2007 12:43

oh god are you feeling that bad AND working??..poor you.

Spray the anti bac about, at least you'll feel you are trying to do something without exerting yourself

LoveMyGirls · 10/10/2007 12:51

Dd1 was sick last night so I sent her with dp to his mums this morning before mindee's arrived so I could work today (it is only a cold after all) But she's still being sick (unlike her she is usually only sick in the night for 1 night and then fine) dp can't take tomorrow off and his parents are going away tonight so I have no choice but to close tomorrow so at least we can have a pj day tomorrow) really hoping dd2 doesn't get sick as well.
