Hey guys, does this sound ok to you? it obv has my header, number etc, but this is the gubbins of it, is it alright?TA

*To All Parents

To let you all know with plenty of notice,
I will be unavailable to work from 12pm Friday 16th November Until 7.30am Tuesday 20th November.

If your little one is part time and you would like to change his/her day to another that week, I will happily accommodate where possible.

For the before/after school and full time children, I can offer you numbers of other childminders and Childcare plus to help you find alternative care on those 1 ½ days.
However, I cannot ?recommend? another childminder, just purely suggest you speak to/visit them regarding cover as I do not know many particularly well and it?s your decision as to whether you feel comfortable with them/their home/their care.

I will be able to take your children to school as normal on the morning of Friday 16th November, but you will need to make other arrangements for their collection from school that day.

MissInvisible · 10/10/2007 13:16

aw, youre sick and LO, you def need a PJ day

MissInvisible · 10/10/2007 13:30

ok, heres another conundrum(sp)..my mindee(the one im having prob with, both mindee and mum, you know the story!) has just received an important letter from school, parent is to attend meeting x time on x date(next week)mindee is already booked in with me..she is also invited to christmas play at thetre in dec, there must be one adult per child..my dd(in older class) is also going and teacher could use extra apir of hands)..
you know whats coming!..mum is soooo going to ask me to do both of these!, i have already told teacher of her child that as my own dd is going i would obv rather help out with her but what to say on both subjects when this aprent once again trys to palm their responsability off on me????

MaureenMLove · 10/10/2007 13:47

Simple! You can't do it! You are the childminder and not the parent and the letter requests parent. Theatre trip requires 1:1, so since your dd is going, you can't watch hers too! Sorted! Strong vibes - don't crumble!

MissInvisible · 10/10/2007 13:49

LOL, we're all full of it arn't we until it comes to us..id be saying the same to you but ill be all stuttering..grow up woman..(that was to myself not you)

MaureenMLove · 10/10/2007 14:00

Yeah, I know! I've got to ask a parent very similar to yours, to pick up 20mins early one day next week and I know I'm going to be a quivvering wreck by then! 20mins fgs!

Ghostashoshabuster · 10/10/2007 14:00

Honey parent teacher consults are just that PARENT not to see you, in fact I doubt teacher would see you.

I go along to DGD's s but that is because she used to live with us and I'm her grandmother and her mother cant go. I certainly wouldnt go to a mindees one. I do go along sometimes to plays etc. but not to see the teacher.

. ooh i've never been in the staffroom b4 !!!! wheres the hob-nobs !!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 10/10/2007 15:21

Hello all.....ds has finally let me have my laptop back LOL. God, it's sooooo boring being stuck indoors, until the Dr's this morning, I hadn't been out of the house since Friday and well......I've never been so excited about going to the Dr's before

Poor LMGs - PJ day tomorrow sounds good. I was like that at the weekend and it really helped

PC - no way, no way, no way......god, I thought my parents were bad! JUST SAY NO!!!! I know it's easier said than done though, not the parent meeting though...that's OBVIOUS you can't go and if she asks then just say it's a 'parent' thing and that teachers won't talk to other people about it - god, what are some parents like!!!

Well, I have informed everyone I'm not opening til next week and thank god no falling out When I emailed double pay baby's mum, I put that I was close to tears for letting people down, I was sooo sorry etc (we have this type of relationship, although she has her moments like when ds had Chicken Pox) and that was deffo the right way to put the email....she told me not to worry and get upset, that it was fine and they'll sort out childcare between her, her dh and grandparent. PHEW!

Yippee.....I get to go out again in about 2 and half hours. Saz73 has been fab and helped out with the baby sister this afternoon. I got yesterday's stand in to do the same again today for toddler (wasn't happy yesterday so it was best for her to use the same person) and then another CM had baby (yesterday's one couldn't today) this morning but could only work til 4, Saz could do this afternoon but lives about 20 mins from her and couldn't collect once done the school run so bless her, she drove to CM A after lunch and is having baby til about 6pm And then I'm going over as soon as dh gets back, will bring baby to mine and parents will meet on my drive. I thought this was best as they need to get back for b & b guests and Saz is in opposite direction. And all this was arranged between 6am and 7.30am - would never have happened without MSN and text messages THANK GOD for modern technology

I need to work out what I owe parents - lost around £400 I think [crying]. Never mind, just hope I don't get it next week and have to close again, that would go down like a lead balloon!!!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 10/10/2007 15:22

Oh hello Maxim

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 10/10/2007 17:33

LMGs - MSN went down, sorry, I'm off out to Saz's soon to pick baby mindee up but will try and catch up later hun xx

MaureenMLove · 10/10/2007 18:58

Oh I missed all the fun of a new staff room member! Welcome Maxim! I'm a marmite lover too, but on your gums? Like Shosh says tho, you'll fit in just perfik!

Just got good news for a Friday. Mindee who spends every other weekend with Dad will be picked up by 4.30 every week now, so back to 5pm finish now. If I have a little nap after they've all gone, I might stand a chance of making it to 10pm on a Friday night now!

Staying in tonight, no salsa for me. I had Guiding meetings on Monday and Tuesday and again tomorrow, so I figured I better stay in tonight. Plus Pride of Britain is on TV, I do love a little blub and pride for this wonderful country!

Hope everyone is feeling a bit better tomorrow! See you then.

Ghostashoshabuster · 10/10/2007 19:02

Mo I have a liitle nap EVERY evening or I dont make it till 10!

I love finishing early on a friday, mine are all contracted till 4.30, but most have gone by 3.30 at the latest
