Yes think I will phone was only 20 - got it half price so a tenner on expenses is not too bad is it.

I often hanker after wearing 'work gear' mml - the moment soon passes tho, I had to change 3 times yesterday THAT IS NOT AN ENVY EMOTION BTW! I had to wear a suit once upon a time, and while I liked it back then, it was pre ds, don't think I could hack a suit now!

I miss my fancy London work clothes, but "luckily" too big for them at the moment anyway. But I do miss making the effort of heels and makeup, sometimes.

However, today, I have a comfy pair of combat capris on and a well worn top of that is just fine for snot, food, and whatever else that will get dropped down and wiped on. And I am loving the comfy clothes at the moment.

fifilou walks past the window with poorly child in toe on way to the doctors (again)

Thats the thing Crace & Kay, I haven't got a baby of my own anymore. DD is 11, so once all the mindees have gone, I don't 'do' babies and littlies at all. I looked around at the library this morning and I felt sad because I could hear all the parents talking about what their lo's do etc. I know I can do that with mindees, but its not the same. I'm not sad because I can't have anymore, just kinda ready to move on, ykwim?

MaureenMLove · 29/06/2007 12:51

Anyone fancy a fruit scone? Me & mindee have just made them. I haven't got any strawberry jam though.

PinkChick · 29/06/2007 13:01

PinkChick · 29/06/2007 13:02

aw whats up Fifilou?

crace · 29/06/2007 13:03

Mo, makes sense to me. You need to do what makes you happy. Just stay "in touch".. plus it's yonks away anyway!

Well, bum- I am waiting for mindees mum to come, 1/2 hour late but because I had a mindee scheduled to come 1/2 hour after his leaving time I am now over. Ack, I am so paranoid, and on edge waiting for her

Shoshable · 29/06/2007 14:09

MaureenMLove · 29/06/2007 14:11

The sun is shining here too.

Just wrote an email to ofsted for my first variation to care for an 11 mth old on a weds during sept and Oct until 1 of the other mindees goes to school fulltime.
1 will be in reception and the other 2 will be in preschool so will only have them all together for 30mins in the morning and then from 12noon until 4.30pm. Will wait for there answer.

Its quite nice here now too, although its not quite school time yet!
My mindee has just done something amazing! He is 22mths old and for weeks I've been saying 'what colour is Mo's car or Daddys car or Eeyores car?' He just kept saying 'lalar', so I'd say whatever colour it was and he'd repeat it. Today, I asked him what colour my car was and he said WHITE! Yay! He also said that Eeyores car was white when its actually blue, but heyho! (BTW - Eeyore is my dh, all the kids round her call him Eeyore!)
