Its as wet here as well, off to the Childrens Centre, going to arrange a morning that all the CM's can meet up, and maybe do messy play or a music session.

MaureenMLove · 29/06/2007 08:05

Rubbish here too. Guess we'll cancel tomorrows BBQ. I'd moan about the weather, but at least I'm not flooded - just fed up. Watching the new, its still awful in Sheffield and going to get worse over the weekend. Not sure on my plans today. Just the one mindee. Cute little 22mth boy. Might just sit a sqidge him all day!!

crace · 29/06/2007 08:09

It's miserable here tooo, and just about to do the walking bus in the pissing rain Blech

mumlove · 29/06/2007 08:11

I only have 1 mindee on a friday and they decided to start potty trainning last week, so will see what he's been like this week (only comes fridays).

I don't have any mindees til 3 and I'm waiting in for two parents to drop money off. I am so bored I'm actually toying with the idea of getting my accounts book up to date!

Raining here too. Least I don't have to go out in it for a while.

OFSTEDoutstanding · 29/06/2007 08:44

Morning everyone got any black coffee in the pot? Have a huge head ache this morning am thinking its because of the weather not because of all the wine we got through last night! Least I have no mindees today

Shoshable · 29/06/2007 08:50

You know the fun I had with my Broadband earlier in the week? Well now TalkTalk have buggered up my phones, no answer service, no out going calls, a stupid, european ring tone, no caller display argggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

MaureenMLove · 29/06/2007 09:18

You think thats bad, I've just been threaten with my gas being cut off because I haven't paid my bills. Actually, I have, but because of a *uck up with the billing address and direct debits (too difficult to explain!) I've been paying both dd's to the same account and not one to each gas and electric! Of course, they can't just transfer the funds, I have to paid it all now and then they will send me a refund cheque from the other account. FGS! It was so much easier before computers!!!

crace · 29/06/2007 09:40

I don't understand why they can't get this stuff right, customer service is appalling and gets blamed on the consumer! Ok, will stop - been watching Watchdog too much

We were soaked through on walk today, ok I was -babies were fine but unhappy under the rain cover. Now it is just hacking it down Rain rain go away - supposed to be a miserable weekend too. But as Mo said, at least there is no flooding... yet.

MaureenMLove · 29/06/2007 09:45

I got very wet too. Just below the line of my mac! I think the water just runs off it. One of my schoolies said 'thank god I haven't got to walk home again!' I just said 'thanks for that - I have!!'

MaureenMLove · 29/06/2007 10:01

Right, I've made my decision! I'm on the look out for a job as school secretary. Don't want to do it for September, as dd is starting senior school, but maybe January. I'll be 40 in January, so seems a good place to start something new! Just seen one on the council website, which is perfect, but starts September, really don't want to do that.

Shoshable · 29/06/2007 10:07

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Mo you cant leave us

KaySamuels · 29/06/2007 10:12

Oh mml - really? Can we maybe change your mind?

I have got all my receipts out and sorted them (haven't even finished aprils accounts!), what do you think about these receipts?

I have a receipt for a new home phone/answermachine, which I had to buy as old one wasn't working and need an answerphone for minding - can I put half of this on expenses???????

I have a receipt for my rabbit and hutch - can I put a portion of this on my expenses??? Was £75 for rabbit and hutch. Then I have food for her too. What do you think?

crace · 29/06/2007 10:15

Mo! Won't you miss the childminding, or just need a change? Welll.... lots of time between now and then so suppose you have lots of time to mull it over -but good luck with whatever you decide

Shoshable · 29/06/2007 10:16

Kay I put all the expenses for the pet ray we have on my books, but I haven't got Children at home (not including DH) so it was obviously for the mindees.

crace · 29/06/2007 10:16

Kay - maybe WE are the reason she doesn't want to do it anymore

Shoshable · 29/06/2007 10:16

Ray???????????????? Rat I meant

Shoshable · 29/06/2007 10:17

Ig Mo does definitly go, can we have a virtual leaving party for her after christmas

MaureenMLove · 29/06/2007 10:26

I'm expecting a virtual 40th party whatever happens!! Date in your diary then please, Sunday 20th January, I will be 40. Much wine & food should be consumed in rl or otherwise! I'll still be kinda here. If I'm still working with children and the hours are 9-4 'ish, I'll still be eligible for a key won't I?

Shoshable · 29/06/2007 10:27

We will present you will a Golden one love

KaySamuels · 29/06/2007 10:28

Ooh yes - we can get drunk as skunks with no hangovers!

shosha - My ds is at home, he is two - shall I put half down maybe.....? Hmm.
What about phone?

crace - yes maybe so ....

MaureenMLove · 29/06/2007 10:29

I wanna wear a suit again and look important. I wanna wear high healed black court shoes too! Oh bugger, I've just remembered, I can't do January anyway. My blasted Jury service was moved to 17th December, so I might have to do the first week in Jan as well, assuming that anything government related shuts for 2 weeks over christmas!

MaureenMLove · 29/06/2007 10:34

{Mo leaves a note on the door - Gone to the library - back later!}

crace · 29/06/2007 10:39

As long as you keep bringing the cakes Mo, you can have a key

Shoshable · 29/06/2007 10:53

Again Kay put half, as you would need a phone anyway but not maybe a answer machine.
