Thought I would say hello as I'm here at this unearthly hour of the morning! No, I won't be nicking the booze (boozing childminders... honestly tut tut!).

crace · 25/06/2007 06:45

Um too - dd had me up from 5.15 today, and I am super crabby. Good thing I seem to pull on my happy face when mindees are here and they are all clearing off by early pm so I can go back to being crabby

I hate Mondays!

Did have my baby that is starting in September doing another visit so I could meet dad and they want me to watch him biweekly until she comes off maternity leave in Sept so they must be happy. She still doesn't know what her hours will be but I have struggled to fill in under 5 spot 2 so I will take whatever! I will have to ask for a variation though, as I have ad-hoc mindees that I want to keep!

Shoshable · 25/06/2007 06:46

Good morning Kbear....without the booze we wouldnt be sane, which explains why we have been going mad the last couple of weeks , cos you and MamaG keep nicking it

Well done Kay

Right, just been told I shouldn't be on here!! Time to get ready for holiday, see you all in a couple of weeks!!

Byeeeeeeeee

KaySamuels · 25/06/2007 07:32

Aww I love this age don't you? He is just sitting up at mo, and was a really cheeky little thing when they visited, really happy!

crace · 25/06/2007 07:33

Luckily it's sunny here today, but we had a weekend of downpours.. probably why I am crabby - didn't get out much and couldn't take dd out to the park, it was really that soaking. Blech Hopefully it will dry up, need to get out today!

crace · 25/06/2007 07:34

Sounds like it's all go for you shosha- you must miss them, but the 7 month old will be loads of fun. I am loving seeing this baby - he's so yummy

crace · 25/06/2007 07:38

LT - have a great holiday! See you in 2 weeks

Shoshable · 25/06/2007 07:41

yep it is Crace, the mindee I had that is laving has only been a tempory they were suppose to go last month, but were delayued, his origional Cm, had taken another child for 1st June, so as I was waiting for baby mindee to come in I had the space for his last couple of weeks. Parents are friends of ours anyway, so mindee knew me well.

When baby comes in he is with me till Nov 2008, 16 month I've got is with me till Sept 08 possible if they get the extension they want, for 3 more years after that.

the two 4 year old mindees are going to school in September, (I have avavriation fo rthe Autumn Term) and the space that becomes available in January is already taken, by a baby who will then be 7 months. So yes all go

Rain rain go away come again another day!

I am so fed up of this rain. Down pours on saturday left DD school fair like a mud pit, yesterday it lasted all day but had to go out, so put on the wet gear and off to look at the boats on the quay.
Will have to think of what to do now as was going to the park.
Glad some of you are getting babies to cuddle, I want a cuddly little one to.

MaureenMLove · 25/06/2007 08:21

WHAT'S GOING ON!!! I haven't got time to read these properly, SOME of us, have work to do. I'll be back..... and as for Kbear.....! (Morning all, see you after school run)

crace · 25/06/2007 09:04

Just hacked it down so much for sunny weather. blast it!

MaureenMLove · 25/06/2007 09:27

Right, 5 minutes peace! I've got a really busy one today. First mindee arrived at 6.15 and since then I've had 5 more arrive! Thankfully 3 of them are at school now, so I've got 14mth, 20mth and 3 year old. They are all sitting in the play tent, playing nicely atm! How long this will last, I don't know! The 3 year old is a tricky one. She has just complained that the 14mth is trying to take the skin of her arm! I was feeding her at the time, so I know what she was doing. I told her she was stroking her arm, because she wants to be her friend and she said 'I'm not a horse!'

Now, let me make one thing quite clear! However many stories Kbear has on me, I can match everyone of them with one about her! We are rl bessie mates for one reason and one reason only - we know too much to ever be enemies!

MaureenMLove · 25/06/2007 09:47

Kay - go and have a look at the OP on that Cheeky CM thread - check out the date!!! I'd post there, but I'm trying to kill it off!

Earthymama · 25/06/2007 09:55

Morning...horrendous here, dark as December!
Bit of advice please?
How many of you look after older children during the holidays? I've been approached to look after a couple of 12 year olds, I usually have little ones, so wondered how they all get on, what do you do on rainy days, is it fun?
I look forward to the hols as we go out lots, to museums, castles etc.
I'm worried that this will not be cool enough for the older ones and will take the edge off our enjoyment. I'd appreciate your experiences please.

madge7 · 25/06/2007 10:04

Maureen....hard stuff????? last I heard it was a bottle of vermouth???? hehehe!!

saltire · 25/06/2007 10:06

madge, did you figure out how to work the message thing?

crace · 25/06/2007 10:13

why can't people call if they will be late? Sigh... We do have plans you know!!

MaureenMLove · 25/06/2007 10:13

I've been on the Lambrini this weekend! It is seriously horrid stuff! I won it at the school fete, so I had to just test it, it was cherry flavoured!
My babies are drifting off to sleep! One in cot and one with his head just under my chin. He's all warm and snuggly and I just keep smelling his head and kissing it!
