MaureenMLove · 07/06/2007 14:27

What me! {Mo tries to keep her hands from shaking} I'm usually not a chocolate person, I've still got choclates in the cupboard that I got for Christmas! But about 2 weeks after AF, I get a real craving for it, just for a day, then I can't even stand the smell of it.

If only you knew what just happened during this post! The keyboard fell off my lap, pressing various buttons on the way down and threw all sorts of things up on the screen and then it all disappeared and went into standby! Now my touch pad isn't working and I have to left click to move the cursor! Oh bugger and press post message it would appear!

fifilou · 07/06/2007 14:33

no mo not you i was growling at the woman on the nanny pay thread. am calm now though and giggling at the thought of your laptop doing a gymnastic dive!!!!

just tell DH the cat did it! do you have a cat?

if not say the neighbours cat did it.

ooops

MaureenMLove · 07/06/2007 14:46

I was referring to Craces comment actually! But no, I dont have a cat - don't do pets, I do kids. Even the neighbours have stopped asking me to look after their goldfish when they go away - I killed them 2 years running! Oh and I've fanned the flames for you on the nannie thread!!

fifilou · 07/06/2007 14:50

Mo!

you are getting a severe virtual kicking you cheeky minx!

i cant bekleive you said that on that thread!

cheeky!

how very dare you!:-)

Am off to school now to calm down!

crace · 07/06/2007 14:51

LMAO Mo, not ideal but heck, goldfish die by looking at them. Unfortunate that you were caring for them.

Fifi, pia, sorry - just ignore it, you are totally worth it

PinkChick · 07/06/2007 14:55

right, well last mindees mum has just collected early, so am off for bath, hair wash, sort tea for dd and dp then off on babysitting job!..cant complain as it helped when i only had one mindee, just wish i had more than one full and 2 part timers (one day each)right now!, i do have a after schooly starting sept and fingers crossed another after schooly and part time baby sister in sept too..as long as the dad doesnt get made redundant this week!, so fingers crossed, juts dont seem to get many leads recently or at least follow ups from leads!

PinkChick · 07/06/2007 14:56

fifilou, swish your hair back advert style "because im worth it"

looneytune · 07/06/2007 15:18

Looks like LMG's has finally lost her internet - not on MSN and she ALWAYS is! Hope she's not gone long, when I moved I was without internet for over a month!

MaureenMLove · 07/06/2007 15:52

Oh lord - how will she cope! Send her our good wishes Looney. Sunday's move day isn't it?

MaureenMLove · 07/06/2007 16:07

I childmind the goldfish (ex goldfish!) owners too! Mindee who is now 6, gave me a plastic turtle to look after last year, complete with grass and water, with strict instructions NOT to let anything happen to it! I looked after there rabbit a couple of years ago and it got out, so I was running up and down the bloody garden, trying to catch the damn thing at midnight in my nightie! Oh and I broke the key off in the back door of another neighbour, trying to get out to feed their rabbit! (Childmind them too!) Its a worry isn't it?

looneytune · 07/06/2007 16:09

will do - she has the keys now and they are decorating, slowly moving bits over - think it's Sun/Mon when they have last day in current house

Eleusis · 07/06/2007 16:51

You are on dangerous ground, Fifi. How many threads do you want to criticise me on? And why don't you have enough guts to do it when I'm there to defend myself? Shall I do a search to find out where else you have been blabbling your malicious rhetoric?

I'm well known on this website for my views regarding childcare (including but not limited to the pay). You may bot agree with them, but this approch of saying nasty things about me (and my nanny) behind our backs is really a disgraceful level of cowardess.

Eleusis · 07/06/2007 16:56

And also, a useful tip for you should you choose to digest it in a mature manner, what probably went wrong with your request to paid paid past 11 is the manner in which you asked for it. A verbal casual reminder would probably have gone down better. But a write up in the nanny diary may have looked like you were complaining. I'm always rushed off my feet and sometimes forget to get money for the nanny, and so she just casually reminds me "I've got a hair appointment today so could I please get last night's b-sitting money" And I usually say something like "Oh bugger, I forgot. SO sorry. I'll go get it right now." and out the door I fly to the BP cash machine.

Verbalcommunication is usually perceived as frienlier. You might try it next time.

MaureenMLove · 07/06/2007 16:58

Anywayyyy, anyone got anything nice planned for the weekend.

crace · 07/06/2007 17:29

Yeah, definitely - annnnyyyywwwayyyy

Moving on, just gardening me thinks MML lovely rain got my garden looking like the rainforest!

MaureenMLove · 07/06/2007 17:34

I've planned for the garden too. I've cut the grass today, but I'm gonna get in there and dig at the weekend. DD is doing community service all day. She's not an ASBO, its just something they have to do with the Guides! DH is working all day, so I'm gonna slap on the suntan lotion and dig to my hearts content!
