from the forms being sent of??
have a girl over today from dd's nursery and her mum has asked me to look after her when she go's back to work in october.
my forms havent been sent of yet so if it takes 3 months that may mean i miss out on looking after her cos the mum will be stuck until im official.
im going to speak to C.C.p in morning about insurance etc, but its the paper work that takes an age isnt it??
arrghh..theyre slipping through my fingers!

Have you had a recent CRB?

EvesMama · 15/08/2006 15:31

beginning

forms still here, have to get references in and taking medical to docs in morn

i have never had a crb check

thats not what you wanted to hear was it

OP posts:
Katymac · 15/08/2006 15:33

I think that's what you didn't want to hear

CRB MINIMUM 4 weeks for their receipt of the forms

You don't get the CRB form until you have sent in your CM1 and it has been processed

I think you have a problem

EvesMama · 15/08/2006 15:34

i meant ME!

feck!

OP posts:
Katymac · 15/08/2006 15:37

Sorry

Katymac · 15/08/2006 15:37

Can you get a CRB form from them sooner (to send in as soon as it is filled in?)

EvesMama · 15/08/2006 15:38

could i get crb from childcare plus? or ofsted, ill try now!

OP posts:
Katymac · 15/08/2006 15:40

They might let you

EvesMama · 15/08/2006 15:51

cant get crb form until ive handed apllication in.
ofsted will be out within 3 weeks from tomorrow.
it 'could' have been thru for octiber but she told me cos weve moved a few times in last 5 years that would hold it up while they checked all address's
asked if my previous treatment for pnd would be prob and she said it could

so have rang gp, spoke to receptionist who is kindly going to put note of form to ask doctor to write in ten foot high letters that although i 'as' getting treatment, i am now not taking any medication and am better off without it..god...so many things crossed

OP posts:
Katymac · 15/08/2006 15:52

you could if you want look after the child for no reward (payment)or for under 2 hrs per day

EvesMama · 15/08/2006 19:57

it would be for two hours per day! for two days?
does this mean i could do it without being reg???

OP posts:
EvesMama · 15/08/2006 19:58

p.s...7 MONTHS !!!!!
dear god!
lady at CCp said if we hadnt moved so much we could poss have it back Oct..but address' will hold it up!

OP posts:
Katymac · 15/08/2006 20:00

Yes up to 2hrs a day - you don't need to be registered

Remember to tell the mum you are not insured until you are registered

EvesMama · 15/08/2006 20:01

but can i still charge?

OP posts:
Katymac · 15/08/2006 20:02

Yep - you aren't insured tho'

EvesMama · 15/08/2006 20:13

so if something happens to her in my care, im libel?
so i need to stress to the mum i am 'just a frind' helpng out and god this sounds awful, she cannot sue mme or anything should her dd get hurt?
like i suppose a family member or friend?

OP posts:
jellyjelly · 15/08/2006 20:20

EvesMama · 15/08/2006 20:21

OP posts:
EvesMama · 15/08/2006 20:22

Read the 1st sentence of this
from the ofsted site.

goldenoldie · 15/08/2006 20:45

Nope - took less than 1 month to get CRB check for our nanny, this was a couple of weeks ago (we are in London).
