from the forms being sent of??
have a girl over today from dd's nursery and her mum has asked me to look after her when she go's back to work in october.
my forms havent been sent of yet so if it takes 3 months that may mean i miss out on looking after her cos the mum will be stuck until im official.
im going to speak to C.C.p in morning about insurance etc, but its the paper work that takes an age isnt it??
arrghh..theyre slipping through my fingers!

that link was fab, thankyou, although it doesnt go into under 2 hours, its obvious same rules dont aplly for that time..and the site info for assesments and self evaluation forms was very handy..thankyou.x

I moved three years ago.

Jensmum · 16/08/2006 11:47

I moved house 3 times in the 5 years before I got registered my CRB took about 6 weeks my dps (he'd moved 4 times in the 5 years) took 2 weeks.

I was treated for PND about a year before registering it didn't go against me(I was still taking my ad's when I registered), I rang OFSTED when I sent off my forms to ask them because I was really panicing about it and they said that the majority of the time it doesn't go against you but sometimes they may call you in to see their doctor.

The playgroup my dd went to used to charge for a session of 2 hours as they didn't want to be inspected by OFSTED (it was a church one with volunteers) And I think it's the same in any situation as long as it's not over 2 hours a day you can charge. Have you asked at your local cis? Or you could ring OFSTED and ask.

thanks jensmum, that really helpful!

i have been to doc today and get this...ive been charged £&$ for the doc to fill in two question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good news is, fab lady at c.i.s said she would get it reimbursed to me, aparently thats the maximum they are legally able to charge now, so they could charge nothing or £74...thats life eh!

She took all my forms, cheked them and is sending them recorded for me today
references are not in them, but thats out of my hands now, will have to wait for them like everything else.
she gave me a form for insurance which they have stamped to say they;ll pay!, its through NCMA ans ill also get a fire blanket, record books etc and she gave be a first aid box full to burrsting with eveything i need

she also told me about the 'under 2 hours' scenario..so other than hoping moving and ond with cause prob i am very happy today...thankyou for all your fab advice and suggestions!

so OFSTED will be here within two weeks!!!..that'll be panic stations again

I use all the NCMA paperwork I don't think the accounts books are that expensive I think the box that you get usually costs around £75 and that has all your paperwork - acounts book, accident/incident book, contracts, child record form and attendance register.

Don't send off for it until you're registered though because your insurance will start then and you'll lose a couple of months.

EvesMama · 17/08/2006 19:54

ah, thanks for that!, was gunna send for it to check out books!
