JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 13/09/2011 22:26

Ahh that's lovely, well done to your dd :)

RandomMess · 13/09/2011 22:28

Wow fantastic!!!

So pleased for you all.

KatyMac · 13/09/2011 22:34

Thanks - it came as a bit of a shock as she doesn't do Ballet

I am a bit unsure because of the hours she needs to put in

But it is good isn't it

trumpton · 14/09/2011 07:23

Congratulations to KM DD !!!

redglow · 14/09/2011 08:16

So pleased for your daughter maybe munsnet should put a boasting thread on so we can all boast about our children.

WoofToYouTooLady · 14/09/2011 08:19

oh wow Katy, well done DD

popcornchicken · 14/09/2011 08:30

Well done however they are very strict about weight. my best friend got in and become anerexic. Is there not a better thread this can go on on as not to do with childcare.

BikeRunSki · 14/09/2011 08:30

That's fabulous, what an opportunity.
My sister tried, after years of ballet lessons, and didn't make it.

Best brush up on Billy Elliott!

HSMM · 14/09/2011 08:51

popcornchicken - KatyMac has posted it here, because we all know her for her work (and fab advice) in childcare.

KatyMac · 14/09/2011 08:56

popcornchicken, Most of these guys are my friends and colleagues; this topic is my equivalent of the coffee machine/water cooler/break room. Those of us working alone need to have adult contact sometimes and MN offers us this.

Fortunately she will be living at home, so I will have some control over her diet but it is an aspect that worries me.

Squeee!!!!

Congratulations to your dd but how did she manage it if she doesn't do ballet?

popcornchicken · 14/09/2011 09:31

Wouldnt facebook be better if these people are friends etc?

looneytune · 14/09/2011 09:58

Great news Katymac :)

And to those who seem to have a problem with her coming into the childcare section to mention not childcare related topics, it's already been explained that we childminders are her friend but not everyone uses facebook and even if they do, not everyone knows who everyone is in RL iyswim.

Nothing wrong with you posting this Katy, really pleased for you both :)

KatyMac · 14/09/2011 10:07

crystalglasses - Raw talent

Great news - my little girl hated ballet I tried when she was 2 1/2 she cried through the whole lesson, the teacher was not impressed x

BradfordMum · 14/09/2011 13:29

Well done to your daughter!!
Feel free to come back here and boast about her as often as you like!!

Sally

KatyMac · 14/09/2011 14:10

nannynick · 14/09/2011 15:11

Well done to your daughter. Given she does not do ballet, does that mean she will be doing something like Modern / Jive or will it be more a mixture of dance types?

KatyMac · 14/09/2011 16:41

No she will be doing Ballet & Contemporary (& Creative, whatever that is)
