Yep... another question I'm afraid ;)
A lot of the posts I read seem to mention going into labour in the early hours of the morning. Is this usual?

I had DC3 on Saturday morning!

Started on Friday afternoon, but at the time just thought more BH.

Only when I went to bed at 10pm and they didn't stop did I even consider it might be it! Made decision to go to hospital at around 3am, and left house at around 4am (had to wait for someone to come and babysit!)

He was born at 6.43am! So yes nighttime!

Woke up with mild pains and waters breaking 6am, went back to sleep until 11am (very mild pain!) More waters at around 5pm and baby arrived 6.30pm.

So not night time for me.

Woke at 4am, threw up four times and contractions went straightaway to intense.

DD born later at 1527 by emergency forceps due to being stuck, think she would have been a fast birth if her head hadn't been side on.

smilehomebirth · 23/04/2010 20:21

dd1 - can't recall when it "started", several days of ramping up during the day only to fade away during the night.

dd2 BH all evening, turning gradually to proper cntractions 2am-ish, had her 9am - no sleep at all that night. Didn't bother me though - lovely birth!

Niallsangel · 25/04/2010 20:01

Waters broke at 3am on the Thursday morning. DD appeared finally at 12.48am on the Sunday morning.

DramaInPyjamas · 25/04/2010 20:10

TheRedQueen · 25/04/2010 20:13

DD started at 10am, with contractions starting at 5 minute intervals. Born 7pm same day.

weasle · 25/04/2010 21:37

Had both of mine at about 10-11pm at night.

ds1 started labour at 4am
ds2 increasing contractions over couple of days, went to hospital 8pm had him 10.40pm. (home at midnight!)

waiting for dc3 as 38 weeks...

Beasknees · 25/04/2010 21:41

dd - 11pm ish - waters broke an hour before born 7.40am
ds1 -2am but it all stopped by midday that day and then started again the next day around 5.30am born 3.25pm
ds2 5.30 am - again waters broke first before any pains started born 9.30am

mummytosquidgies · 26/04/2010 09:31

With DS started having pains early afternoon, around 1pm I think, walking round a furniture shop as we were buying a new sofa

Definite contractions by 4pm, hospital at 10.30pm. They broke my waters at around midnight. He came at 12.33pm by emergency section.

So no night time start for me!

With this one having ELCS so won't be doing that again!
