If you were overdue on no.1, when did no.2 arrive?

Hi,

I was a week overdue with DD, and I'm wondering if it's likely to be the same this time. Any experiences? Do second babies usually come a bit earlier?

MIL has to come and stay to look after DD when I go into labour and she lives 6 hours away, so it's not like we can just call her when the contractions start. I don't want her hanging around for days though just waiting for me to give birth, I think that would drive me mad! So I'm thinking as I was late last time it would be ok for her to just arrange to come on my due date or the day before, or is that tempting fate?

DD 13 days late
DS1 14 days late
DS2 5 days late

DS1 due 12 June - arrived 16 June
DS2 spookily also due 12 June - arrived 14 June

I don't think there's ever really a pattern to these things...

dd1 - 40 + 4
dd2 - 40 + 8

Everyone, especially my employer, was convinced dd2 would be early. They even managed to convince me so I was thoroughly fed up by the time she arrived!

DD- 40+7
DS- 40+5

@eggyallenpoe - what do u mean 41 weeks is average gestation for ur size? is there a link between what size u are and how long the pregnancy? i never heard it b4?

Both mine - 40 + 18

first was 3 weeks late...
second and third were 10 days late
all were spontaneous....i tried everything...pineapple, raspberry leaf tea, curry, castor oil (2 bottles), sex, sweeps (more than one with 2 & 3!)
now due on 24 july with fourth...not expecting it to be here before 3 aug!!
my grandma has had 6 and all were 10 days late!!
im a big believer that they turn up when they are ready!!
