Ooh, x-posts, Flame... you're doing too well to talk to like that!

tHELLISH · 19/10/2009 11:06

My MW wanted me to walk up and down stairs, but that seems a bit excessive!

tHELLISH · 19/10/2009 11:07

Maybe you could go and bake something - that would get you walking up and down the kitchen,....!

LadyOfTheFlowers · 19/10/2009 11:07

Yes, that's it. here take my hand.... and get yer butt on this birthing ball and bounce like a mad thing.

FlameIsHavinABaby · 19/10/2009 11:07

ooh i was told not to piss about walking up and down stairs as it would just make me tired!

FlameIsHavinABaby · 19/10/2009 11:08

maybe she didn't use the phrase "piss about"

LadyOfTheFlowers · 19/10/2009 11:08

Worked for me.... ? ;)

Frizbe · 19/10/2009 11:09

Lol at baking, I'm seeing half made spongecake or something abandonded as things kick off

tHELLISH · 19/10/2009 11:09

mustrunmore · 19/10/2009 11:11

I spent hours walking up and down Highgate hIll in the pouring rain with ds1; it didnt do a thing! Would prefered to have wasted my time walking up nice warm stairs instead

tHELLISH · 19/10/2009 11:11

Hmm, maybe a bad idea - it would get left in the oven for the next 12 hours

Are you bouncing yet?

meridian · 19/10/2009 11:14

hope all is going well...

and Frizbe we both have blackberries with internet access.... the download limit is rediculous so should be ok.. though she best have that babe by lunch time.. I must stat planning shopping when I know what colour scheme to go for.

Jas · 19/10/2009 11:16

I walked non stop with all of mine, but I didn't have long labours, so no time to get tired!
In fact, I couldn't stay still if I'd wanted to.

Baby will come whatever you do now, so just do what feels best for you.

claricebeansmum · 19/10/2009 11:17

Blimey this is exciting.

Shall I boil some water?

TrillianSlasher · 19/10/2009 11:18

You could just eat the mixture...

claricebeansmum · 19/10/2009 11:18

Maybe a chocolate fridge cake would be better as that wouldn't burn?

Blottedcopybook · 19/10/2009 11:20

I loved the birthing ball when I was having Greer, it was amazing.

C'MON FLAME! (I'll be back in half an hour, got to take the spawn to nursery. Don't have it while I'm out!!)

PlumBumMum · 19/10/2009 11:22

tHELLISH · 19/10/2009 11:25

I have a friend who is a doula, and would probably use the phrase 'pissing about' if appropriate! Love it.

AntdamnUallToHell · 19/10/2009 11:27

You can do it - put your back in to it

LilRedWG · 19/10/2009 11:34

Don't make me get my pompoms out!

serenity · 19/10/2009 11:35

DD handily had 'hurty bits' at school this morning, meaning I managed a whole 45 minutes at work before I got called to pick her up However it does mean I'm home, and poised by the laptop to keep up to date with this. I'm all excited!
