Welcome beautiful Carys, and well done Flamesparrow...you're a real Mama Expert

Norfolk brought a lump to my throat making me remember DD's birth - tomorrow there will be such a beautiful morning in your house. How wonderful! x x x

JetLi · 19/10/2009 22:43

Oh Flame she's BEAUTIFUL.
Bloody hell I'm broody now. And that's with a 14 week old right next to me
Might just wake my DP up for a celebratory tumble and see if we can't get mine a little bro or sis

MarsLady · 19/10/2009 23:27

Well done Flame. My favourite name of all time! Good choice. Lovely weight. Looking forward to full birth story with all the gory details. You can email them if you don't want to make them public. You know how I love a good birth story!

FlameHasAnotherChick · 20/10/2009 00:20

Awake now with afterpains and a little lady who is snuffling but I suspect is too well nourished and tired to be bothered to latch on!

Still not entirely sure how she all fit in - the whole "its all baby" has never been so true.

I can't praise my midwife enough, I've now had 3 births and she was the only one to have talked me through enough to be able to hold off pushing which imo stopped the tearing. Poor woman was with me on and off from 9am - 5pm and then she was meant to be on call tonight. The others were assuring her she would be able to start later.

latestincarnation · 20/10/2009 00:36

Just passing through as my LO has me awake = I hope the afterpains start to ease soon and you get some rest. It sounds like you had a great midwife - it makes all the difference! I'm sure she will get some relief from her on call,it sounds like she deserves it!

Jacksmamwahahaha · 20/10/2009 01:03

CONGRATULATIONS FLAME SHE IS GORGEOUS!!!
And so are you from what I can tell from your Flickr pics. And your other DCs. Wow, 9 lbs 9 oz - YEEEEOOOOUUCH!!! I am so at no tearing - such great news. My goodness but she looks huge when I compare her to Jackbaby's newborn pics - skinny little mite that he was .
Congratulations!!!
Hope the afterpains have passed...

FlameHasAnotherChick · 20/10/2009 01:55

essay birth story!

Thank you so much for all your photo comments I'm still seeing her as red and chunky over gorgeous (I get the gorgeous feelings when they settle down a bit )

She keeps sucking her thumb which is what is making me all soppy.

Now just need to convince her to feed in the morning... she's had a small feed, but not a lot. Kindly waited til I changed the first nappy and cleaned the tar off her bum to then do it again . 3 babies and that is the first meconium nappy I have ever done

Oh and for the nappy addicts... first nappy was a newborn swaddlebees ocv.

Jacksmamwahahaha · 20/10/2009 02:08

Ohhhh...beautiful. Well done you.
Loves to you both!

Jacksmamwahahaha · 20/10/2009 02:13

HOW are you up writing at the computer??? I couldn't even sit up by myself after having Jackbaby . Your midwife sounds lovely.
Congratulations again!

mollyroger · 20/10/2009 08:12

oh flamey, I feel so broody....
my 'baby' is 9 tomorrow. He was 9lbs 9ozs too!

LauraIngallsWilder · 20/10/2009 09:44

Congratulations Flame - she is lovely

mummyhill · 20/10/2009 09:53

Congratulations love.

She's gorgeous.

Wow that's a respectable weight.

I tried convincing the m/w that gas and air is good for after pains especially as I am allergic to paracetamol but they wouldn't listen to me!

No three has cured me of wanting any more too

FlameHasAnotherChick · 20/10/2009 10:51

she nearly forgot the cylinder they had next to my bed for when they checked for tears (I demanded it for the poking about ) - keeping it would have been goooooooooooood.

It was that first contraction with it when I went all floaty and remembered just how good it is!

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 20/10/2009 13:18

She is absolutely gorgeous.

Congratulations, 9lb 9oz is some weight.

OrmIrian · 20/10/2009 13:20
