I've only got one at the moment. She was 5 days overdue.

BunnyLebowski · 22/09/2009 08:16

Only had one lo. DD was born at 40+4 and I had her at home with (obv) no intervention.

Had a sweep a few days before - don't think that counts?

LittleMissBliss · 22/09/2009 08:20

DS was 8 days early (labour started at 38+4 with) , i'm 38+1 today sort of thinking god anytime now. But know that i could be pregnant for another 3-4 weeks yet in all reality!

Riven- did you expect to go early/earlier as it was your 4th?

Bunny- I don't think that counts, i was thinking more along the lines of a booked induction or CS.

Went into labour on the due date with #1. Number 2 was 2 weeks early. Number 3 was about 5 days early.

LittleMissBliss · 22/09/2009 08:23

Tambajam oooh that's promising!

Carmen did you do anything differently with 2nd and 3rd to bring on/encourage labour?

chocolatedays · 22/09/2009 08:26

My one and only was one day early - as she was IVF I know the due day was spot on.

rubyslippers · 22/09/2009 08:28

DS - born at 38 weeks or so (had a show, and into labour 2 days later)
DC2 - am 38 weeks now and not a twinge

LittleMissBliss · 22/09/2009 08:32

Me too ruby Nada! I was having more twinges, period type cramping about four weeks ago!

Drank 4 cups of RLT yesterday, really starting to go off the taste, trying to pretend to myself that really i like it.

Not really, LMB. Spontaneous labour each time. And they all started off early in the morning, oddly.

weegiemum · 22/09/2009 08:34

No1 I went into labour 5 days early, she was born 4 days early (loooooong labour!)

No2 I went into labour 10 days early.

No3 was a 37 week induction.

LuluMamaaaaarrrrr · 22/09/2009 08:36

first labour induced at 39 +1

second labour, had a hindwater leak, went in to be checked, nothing doing, went home, woke up in labour in the morning, delivered 01.15 the next morning..at 40 weeks. so bang on time

Yorky · 22/09/2009 08:46

DS 5days early, bit of a shock as I was convinvced he would be late so wasn't actually counting down to due date!
DD 4days early

LittleMissBliss · 22/09/2009 08:49

carmen I was sort of hoping you'd say i swear by XYZ, I XYZ and went into Labour the next day! Interesting about all your labours starting off in the morning.

I read last night that only in 17-25% of mothers their waters going will be the first sign of labour and normally your waters will go in the night or when you stand up first thing.

I was 36+5 when my waters broke (in the evening, I was sat down, 5 minutes into some huge Rugby game, DH had just poured himself a bottle of Fursty Ferret ).

Really hoping DC2 comes closer to due date

carikube8 · 22/09/2009 08:59

I was 39+3 and my waters broke at about 5am (I'd just got up as I thought I needed to pee) and DD was born at half past midnight the following morning.

The only symptom of labour that I didn't have was the nesting bit which DH still complains about - he thought that the whole house would be sparkling when I eventually went in to labour

BunnyLebowski · 22/09/2009 09:02

My waters didn't go until I was about 9 hours into contracting.

I was beginning to think @Oh this isn't so bad I can totally cope with this' when they went and everything intensified. More fool me!

I was eating pineapple and curry, making DP boink me against his wishes, scrubbing the floor on all foors and walking miles (not all at the same time mind) and I couldn't attribute labour to any of these things. It'll happen when it happens.

swissmiss · 22/09/2009 09:19

DS1 - 40+1, having spent all my due date in labour
DD1 - 40+5
DD2 - 40+3

LedodgyDailyMailstinksofpoo · 22/09/2009 09:23

dd 39+4
ds1 39+4
ds2 39+4

lollyheart · 22/09/2009 09:27

Ds1 38 weeks, Waters went as his head came out
Ds2 39 weeks, Waters went at home before contactions started he was born 2 hours later.

Disenchanted3 · 22/09/2009 09:29
