If you went to 42weeks the first time, did you go overdue the 2nd+ time?

Hello - just wondering whether there was any kind of relationship? I was induced at 42 weeks last time (after possibly the longest 2 weeks of my life!), and I'm wondering if that means I should expect to be twiddling my thumbs again this June. (although I'm never ever ever going to be induced again no matter what!)

DS1 - 42 weeks
DS2 - 4 days late
DS3 - on due date

I did, 40+ 11 first time (induced) and 40+ 13 second time (booked for induction, started after a sweep)

induced 3 times - 10d over, 10d over and 12d over. all labours were very quick, but the first was by far the worst.

I was the same as you but my second induction was exactly same labour as number 2 (spontaneous) bar the one lot of gel!!

both my babies were 10 days over, but no 2 arrived after being induced.

baby no3 is going to be induced on my due date cause no2 was soo big and i'm very greatful to have the option.

i was 42 weeks by my dates with ds1 (only 41 by theirs)
ds2 was just a day late

I have had 5 babies, no 2 was born on her due date, but I went to 41-3 weeks with the rest.

Both my DDs were 11 days over due date.

Induced for the first at 13 days over. I said I would never be induced again, too)
All the rest were overdue, too. The 'earliest' being 2 days past due date. The rest closer to a week.

Last baby induced at 14days late.
That induction no different to spontaneous labours. So try not to worry too much about another induction.

Ds 3 weeks overdue on my dates. Placenta was failing and amniotic fluid all gone. iNduced then. Tried everything - castor oil, curry, hot sex, jumping up and down... no so much as a Braxton Hicks.

Dd induced at my insistence after 13 days after due date. Placenta covered in infarctions.

Both babies enormous, well over 8 pounds,a nd deffo postmature. They are now hard to get out of bed...

NB: I myself had to be induced after my mother's waters broke and labour stopped. Genes?

First was induction at 42+1 ending in emCS.
Second was spontaneous labour and VBAC at 42+4. Placenta/fluid fine in both cases. The waiting is horrible, isn't it? But have am resigned to the fact that when I have another it'll be the same, and am planning to not tell anyone the supposed 'due' date!

dd3 41+1 weeks

All three 2 weeks over.

number 1- 40+10
number 2- 40+11
number 3- 40+13

All 3 8-12 days overdue, all born night before induction booked for.

All born the night before induction....did you think of getting them to book the induction for term? That would have scared them out earlier!

ds1 42 weeks and induced, dd 38 weeks but also induced (waters broke but labour didn't start). 2nd time induction totally different - much easier and all in all positive experience. Good luck.

40+17 induced, very relctantly. diodnt go well

second time held out til 40+19. went in ( again reluctantly) to be induced and consultant insisted recommended CS

All 4 of mine have gone 41+. Two went to 42.

ruby - are you serious about lacking a hormone? i always wondered as i also

-never got any stretch marks
-never had one braxton hicks
-never had any after pains, even when bf
-never had that euphoria thing after the birth

i always wondered if there was a link to never going into labour spontaneously
