rosie was born saturday 541am

phew!

SIL had an epidural and a section

she is shattered

i havnet managed to get all the details - when i went to visit you can imagine it was busy with lots of other visitors so she siad " ill tell yo ulater"

i think she was just too tired to push poor thing

rosie fed straight away though

she is GORGEOUS - that velvetty head, that baby smell, when you touch her cheek its so soft you can barely feel it, teeny fingernails (sigh) 7lb 10oz of her

thanks everyone for your good wishes!

i must tell SIL about MN

Congratulations to your SIL - it must have been exhausting but so pleased to hear that lovely Rosie is finally here.

Tell your SIL to get herself on here and post the full birth experience!

Congrats to you, too, nailpolish. Enjoy sniffing that baby's head.

Congrats to your SIL. Rosie is a beautiful name .
I had a long failed induction followed by a section with my first child. Your SIL is going to be exhausted and probably a bit shell shocked for quite some time. Bring her food, wash her dishes and make sure DH waits on her hand and foot . All the best x

thanks mrsmattie

i am going on a cooking frenzy so they can stock up their freezer
i think she is getting home today

Congrats for you and family, and lovely little rosie. I do feel for your sil, but the only silver cloud to the whole days of induction ending with emcs, is that you never get the 3 day blues as you still completely f**ked an totally missed them!!
Enjoy baby rosie x

Why am I not surprised?

Just the outcome I feared, but kinda expected.

As other pp have said she now needs to be waited on hand and foot. Suggest arnica for wound healing and a gentle shoulder to listen to her story without judgment.

Congratulations on your lovely new niece!
