samba I am 41 and this will be the last no matter what the outcome. I have found this past year of trying and mc's very hard emotionally.

Oddly physically I have no hesitation in being comfortable with a HB. I was quite sporty for years and am quite strong from lots of cycling. My dd popped out easily - established labour of 5 mins and out in just three pushes! In fact probably another concern might be that the midwives might not get here quick enough?

What worries me is the 'what if's' - the disaster scenarios, but boffin point taken that the hospital environment has no better stats for a low risk birth. I do feel I would be more comfortable at home, as long as my partner did not panic. I don't think I could cope with trying to calm him down as well as giving birth!!

I have decided I will look into it a little more - speak to the midwives next week and ask some questions.

Many thanks.
