This will be my second, I had a possible leak of hind waters yesterday, but when I was examined my cervix was closed. Then in the evening, I had a show. First thing this morning I had a couple of mild crampy contractions (well, 5 or 6), but as soon as I came downstairs and started dealing with DD1 they stopped (). I'm 38 weeks pregnant and 3/5 engaged (although I realise that the engagement isn't such a big deal second time around).

So any takers out there? How long do you think I have? Please don't say 4 weeks, I'm not sure that I could stand it!

(and before any of the MWs and doulas out there ask, yes, I am resting )

At least you haven't spoken about "wasting" a day of your paternity leave if things don't kick off in earnest (in the next hour). Would it be considered justifiable homicide do you think?

On the "things they don't tell you about pregnancy" thread there is a wonderful post about the whole family treating you as the mean and selfish one who is refusing to share the new baby with everyone else (who are all getting very excited and desperate to meet her). That's just how it feels.

And with the whole childcare issue becoming an issue tomorrow, the clock is ticking. No pressure then.

lauraloola wins! (sorry Starlight )

DD2 was not the easiest baby to push out, and for those who have followed my previous birth history, my skin tag tore, as did the internal scar, but both not too badly. And I managed to get her out naturally, which is a huge emotional victory. DD2 is doing really well.
