OK, so I have 2 boys, my mum told me a few things about baby girls, and I genuinly don't know if she is winding me up or not! So those who have had daughters ....

She said that baby girls have a mucus plug in their 'baby lady bits' that comes away after the birth and you have to clean it away over the first few days! Is this true??

She also said that girls can have a mini period when they are born!

Is that true?

Oh god this just reminded me, after i had dd, we opened her nappy one day to change & there was blood a muscusy blood, i paniced as had not heard of this before & we phoned MIL she explained that sometimes they get it, we also phoned the hospital

It is perfectly normal & true

DD didn't but my boys both had swollen 'breasts'.

It's true about periods (I did) haven't heard the plug thing before, but then I didn't even see my daughter naked for almost a week.

My brother lactated so don't think it's just girls odd things happen to!
