My lovely niece is choosing weather to train to become a midwife. She is really keen but is not good with sick at all. She feels that as she wants to do it so bad, she shouldn't let this phobia stop her. This is the only thing thats holding her back. Do you think she could cope?

violently sick 3 times in hospital!

How does she feel about people's waters breaking on her? When mine went, the midwife's socks and T shirt got drenched

I wasn't sick. I was sick throughout the pregnancy but come the day of DDs delivery I wasn't allowed any food to throw up, so I was fine.

I'm assuming midwives get very good at sidestepping vomit/poo/spashdowns of most sorts.

Just send your friend to line dancing, she can learn a variety of side stepping maneouvres.

I felt violently sick but I wasn't. But that was only because I refused all food and liquid, which wasn't a great idea.

I was only sick just before labour started full on and then when the MW's made me eat chocolate. It stayed down for ohhh 20 seconds?! lol
