At what gestation did you go into labour with your first dc?☺️

Went into labour on the 12th of the month, DD was born on the 14th, her due date was the 16th. Everyone wittered on about how I'll be late as she was my first ... went for a short walk to the shops on the morning of the 12th and I think that brought things on as contractions started that evening!

Squidtentacles · 07/01/2025 21:28

38+6

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 07/01/2025 21:31

DS1 - early hours of day after due date.
DS2 - breakfast time day before due date.

Pathologically punctual, I am 🤣

Ohdearwhatnow4 · 07/01/2025 21:31

41+5 (9 hour labour)
38+6 ( 4 hour labour)
40+6 ( 2 hour labour)
36+1 ( 3 day labour)

40+5 with 1st and 2nd

Punkpoprocknot · 07/01/2025 21:45

39+5 spontaneous and had 12 hour labour.

MaybeBaby2024 · 07/01/2025 21:47

DC1 39+1 spontaneous
DC2 40+4 spontaneous

I expected to go over dates with first and be earlier with second but worked out the other way around.

sanityisamyth · 07/01/2025 21:51

38+3

sanityisamyth · 07/01/2025 21:54

Oh no! Although I don't think there's a link between mum and daughters having the same? I did DTD the morning I went into labour. Might have been a coincidence, but I've convinced myself it helped! I also had an easy 4 hour labour.

StiggyZardust · 07/01/2025 22:03

Induced at 40+5. 6 hour labour.

Passthecake30 · 07/01/2025 22:05

39 weeks with both

DanceMumTaxi · 07/01/2025 22:07

8 days over due so 41+1.

NeedSomeComfy · 07/01/2025 22:07

41+4. Went into spontaneous labour the morning I was due to be induced.

Christmasandallthetrimmings · 07/01/2025 22:10

Just before 42 weeks. Was a three day labour so DD ended up being 42 weeks. I always wonder how much she grew in those seven or eight hours it took her to come down the birth canal...😂

SushiWarrior · 07/01/2025 22:16

Both dc spontaneous labours, both on the evening of my due dates (went to bed at home and woke up in the middle of the night with contractions- so I suppose technically both the day after my due date as it was past midnight with both)
dc1 labour was 36 hours from start to finish,
dc2 labour was just under 2 hours from first contraction to finish.

Christmasandallthetrimmings · 07/01/2025 22:16

Just re-did the maths and I went into labour at 41+ 6 and DD was born 42+2.

But I ovulate about three weeks after LMP so my dating scan was different to my LMP date. Taking my dating scan into account I would have been 41+1 with DD born 41+4. Which I think made more sense based on the length of my cycles.

2 hours sounds heavenly!

DramaAlpaca · 07/01/2025 22:18

Went into labour at 39+1 in the early hours, and he arrived shortly after midnight the next day.

SushiWarrior · 07/01/2025 22:19

@Christmasandallthetrimmings it was in many ways but also absolutely petrifying as it was so bloody quick (no time for any interventions and made it to the hospital by the skin of my teeth!) so it felt wildly out of control. Although i would choose it again over my longer labour with dc1.
It all went fine luckily and I was back home before dc1 even woke up the next morning which was nice 😂

pearldiamond · 07/01/2025 22:28

1- 39+6 (2.5hr labour)

2 - 39+1 (1hr 23min labour)

3+4 - induced at 36+0 (3.5hr labour, 27mins between them!)

Never went overdue thank god !!

Dreaming!!

I'm deciding between induction at 38 or 39 weeks. I'm unsure! He's measuring 3 weeks ahead and I've been given the option of induction at either weeks🤞🏽
