who got to see their baby the same day that they were induced???

to try to make me feel better about being induced tomorrow tell me how it's likely I will get to meet my baby the same day...

Yep same day here. About 10ish hours from start to finish.

1st Baby,waters broke after 2nd pessary, about 45mins and daughter was born 6 hrs later

First lot of gel at 01.10, second at 08.40 and baby born at 22.16. So yes, the same day! Good luck, you will be fine!

1st baby - induced Sunday night at 7pm (with gel), waters broke at midnight, DD born at 5.03am on Monday. Was all quite fast and intense!!

2nd baby - in hospital Friday, induced Sat, left cos ward was busy, induced again Sun morning, left again cos ward was busy, after some questions from myself and hubby (cos we were highly fed up ) induced again Sunday evening about 11pm, waters broke at midnight and DS was born at 11.13am on the monday (his due date!!).

I think its weirdy lovely that my waters went both times at midnight AND both my babies were born on a Monday

I was induced with my first baby - 9am given the gel. 1pm waters were broken for me. 9.40pm son born!

2nd baby induced at 9am baby at 5pm

what happens if gel doesn't work?

DD2 induced (syntocin IV) at 9am-ish delivered around 3.30pm. Super.

I am panicking!!!!!!!!

I am supposed to be induced next week 42weeks.

Me induced at 37 weeks no drugs waters broke at 10am, first contraction 12 midday ds appeared at 1.35pm home at 6pm

me !!! Went in ot be induced Sunday night , was in early stages already so they left it until lunchtime next day with a little progress, then waters were broken, took some tablets and dd born at 5.40pm ish ! In time for dinner

1st baby - ARM at 8.30 am then given a hormone drip, dd1 was born at 8.22 pm. It doesn't really seem that long when you're in labour.

Me - pessary about 4pm, having long walks up the Fulham Road (with intermittent monitoring) until about 7pm, dinner in Carluccio's, all hell broke loose around 9.30 pm and daughter born after 10 mins of pushing at 11.18pm.
So only just!

The worst thing is I honestly can't remember if I had a second lot of gel or not. I think maybe I did

2nd Baby, waters broken at 11.45am, baby born 8.17pm, so yes.

Not the same day but within 24 hours.

gel 11pm thur night, walking around hospital and car park till 12midnight ( no bloody way I would let them do that that late again) waters break 3am fri morn, drip 6.30am fri (don't know why had started to have strong contractions though not in a fit state to ask) Ds born 4.05am sat morning.

I was induced at 6 AM or so in the morning and had baby in my arms at 3 PM - 9 hours later.

The gel didn't do much for me. It was the IV drip that got things going.

I did 13 hours after the induction started.

I wasn't induced, but a friend of mine went in, had the pessary at 8am. Gave birth at 9.47am, to an 8lb baby still in the bag of waters.

Yes..had 2nd baby 3 weeks ago.

Was induced at 6,30pm.DH went home at 9pm.

10.30pm first contraction...

11.15pm examined and told 1cm dilated

11.50pm Midwife calls DH and tells him Im 1cm dilated and that Im in distress but no need to rush to the hospital

12am-Baby born

12.10-DH arrives to find out hes missed it

All done with baby being back to back, and no pain relief

1st baby. IV drip put in at 10.00 am had baby in arms at 11.50 am. Same day of course.

DH kicked out of ante-natal ward at 9pm
First contraction at 9.45pm
Waters broke at 10.45pm
Examined at 11.40am and told 8cm dilated
Rushed down to delivery suite
Husband phoned and arrived at 12.30am
Baby born at 2.09am - in theatre as they were going to do a CS but I pushed out DS myself!

Only had gas and air - didn't need anything else - aside from first couple of contractions didn't find it too painful.

Happened 12 weeks ago so still very clear! Good luck.
