so SIL is due today with her first, all week & she's been having BH's 10 mins apart or so, today she's had her show.

she's due today - poor girl it's her 25th birthday as well! lol. anyhow current contractions/BH's are at 7-10 mins lasting 25-30 seconds.

brothers going a little dolally and on the phone to all and sundry wanting to know when baby will come.

so come on place your bets here - will forward to SIL as i'm sure she'd like a giggle as well.

i'm going for a boy 8lb 2, er 3.35am tomorrow.

it's very exciting thou isn' it - my first nephew/neice.

davidtennantsmistress · 12/04/2008 07:45

nothing over night, she spent an hour and a half at the hosp last night, has to go back at 8am today, is 1 cm dilated,

contractions every 5-6 mins, so I'm now thinking by 3.32 this afternoon - best get out shopping for a card I guess!

OP posts:
cadelaide · 12/04/2008 07:50

boy, 6lb 15oz, 5.25 this afternoon.

davidtennantsmistress · 12/04/2008 14:10

well nothing still..

lol.

she now has the tenns machine out, but was snet home from the hospital earlier - maybe it will be tomorrow. not sure who's getting more impatient - the family ringing each otehr to see if there's any news ( as bro only talking to mum/I) or bro who's currently pacing the floor and trying to cook a roast for SIL! - not sure she'll want it but at least he's helping!

OP posts:
lulumama · 12/04/2008 14:22

ok, she is still in early labour

this is what she needs to do:

rest , sleep if she needs it

eat and drink nourishing but light food, complex carbs are good

wee and poo as she needs to

listen to her body and go with it

when she is having ctx every 5 minutes, lasting a minute or so, that is more likely to be established labour..

when she needs to concentrate on the ctx and needs to close her eyes and breathe and work through them, then she should go back to hospital.

davidtennantsmistress · 13/04/2008 11:21

baby alfie paul born 1.55am this morning weighing in at a whopping 9lb 1oz, mother and baby doing well, all SIL had was a tens machine. so i'm an aunty.

OP posts:
davidtennantsmistress · 13/04/2008 11:22

so tittle was the closest.

OP posts:
lulumama · 13/04/2008 11:23
