Sweep this morning now contractions?

I’m 41 weeks today and I had a sweep this morning at 9.15, she said I was 2cm and my cervix was soft, stretchy and ready to labour. Since 3.45 this afternoon I’ve been timing contractions that are coming every 6/7 minutes but the pain isn’t that bad, like a mild period pain. Will this be the start of labour?

As soon as they go, you'll be pushing.

With my second my contractions weren't as frequent as they demand, but in the end I lied in order to get a midwife out to me (home birth) and it was just as well, I was only half an hour away from giving birth when she came.

Thank you! I haven’t slept in over 24 hours but he’s perfect! The labour and birth was very very quick and I think I’m still in shock!
