Think I might be going into labour , had been super uncomfortable all day and now is 1.22 and woke up mild cramp and had poop which would never happen at this bewitching hour! Had another 1 or 2 mild cramps so far. Anyone else empty bowels like this snd it was labour? I'm 40+5 days and baby is calculated to be about 9.5lb by now so fair to say eviction notice has been served!

Hope your baby is here soon

Scotmum256 · 02/06/2024 06:57

I'm going to try a bath once everyone in the house wakes up, luckily for them all they have slept all night 🙄lol! Hoping baby comes today. Will maybe go a walk later if things are still slow. Totally different experience already from my previous two.

How’s it going OP?

IAmNotASheep · 02/06/2024 13:52

Watching too.
If your baby comes today the saying goes

‘and the child born on the Sabbath day is Bonny and blithe loving and gay…’😊

if it gets to Monday ( hope not for your sake ) I’ll post Mondays

I'm hoping the radio silence means that BabyScot is well and truly on their way Wink

Potentially 13 hours and not a first baby. So 🤞
Hoping for pics

Still the same! Demented contractions are sore and strong when I get them but no consistency like every 20nminutes or so with no change. Have never had this with previous labours and thought it was more a first labour thing to be like this!

I know I'm demented and so crampy. Have midwife tomorrow so hoping for some advice if this is normal or not! Hopefully if nothing happens till then she can do a sweep and tell me how things are looking down there.

Could they be Bristol-hicks

IAmNotASheep · 02/06/2024 16:57

Now that mumsnet is back online I’ll quickly correct my last post🤣
Not Bristol…obviously

Braxton.

Darkflame · 02/06/2024 17:09

Wishing you all the best. If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to call the maternity unit. X

Fingers crossed, OP. A good sweep can make all the difference xx

Scotmum256 · 02/06/2024 18:37

I don't think thry are Bristol hicks 😂 had been having them for months and just uncomfy tight with them. This is pain that takes my breath away, just not getting into any consistency. Hoping night time will.help as apparently things pick up at night x

My second labour was like this. Contractions all day long but not long, strong or regular enough to be considered 'proper' labour...

...until my waters suddenly went. Was at the hospital in 10 minutes and baby born 10 minutes later 🤗 What a shock 😂

Good luck. Sounds like it won't be too long.

Crikey! Bet that wasn't half a shock. I have a feeling once I get going it will be quick as I was only 45 mins in hospital with my 2nd! Hospital is 30 mins away so hoping will have plenty of signs and it gets steady and consistent soon!

This sounds like classical 3rd baby shenanigans lol how’s it going?

Absolute worst labour of my life. Spent all day contracting then it stops same tonight. Took until tonight to get to 4cm so now are looking at breaking waters and taking me to labour ward. Midwifes have said 3rd babies are notorious for this so they have been understanding. Have slept a grand total of about 5 hours since Saturday night I think. Hoping today will be the day!

That sounds really hard. Hoping things progress soon 🙏

hazandduck · 04/06/2024 09:59

Best of luck, OP! ❤️

MummySam2017 · 04/06/2024 11:57

Goodness OP, wishing you moments of rest when you can get them. Agree with 3rd babies being slow with their entrances. Best of luck my lovely xx

Mystro202 · 04/06/2024 12:14

Oh OP fingers crossed for you today! I hope it goes fast and safe for you, my 3rd was also the most difficult. He was induced at 14 days overdue and he didn't come out without a fight! Xx

IAmNotASheep · 04/06/2024 12:14

Gosh I thought it got easier. I have three but my second pregnancy was 2 for the price of 1.

Hopefully baby comes today🤞
You must be exhausted !

Very similar what happened to me! The birth itself was only 4 hours when it happened though so I’m crossing my fingers for you!
