MushroomQueen · 23/11/2022 23:20

my 3rd took a good few months and was very uncomfortable and had to stop a number of times until things felt better, DD is 1 soon and it doesn't feel like it used to. DD is my 3rd and the first 2 DC's it was easier and quicker, she tore me more and needed more stiches so probably why

The first time we tried was several months after birth.
Combination of breastfeeding, no sleep, hormones, newborn baby, no sleep etc etc meant that I had zero interest in sex. Was months before I was ready to be bothered again.

FawnFrenchieMum · 23/11/2022 23:22

We managed gently after about 4 weeks.

sleepygurl · 23/11/2022 23:22

Once they were dissolved, so like 2 weeks. It's all good, just real nervy. It's kind of like doing your first pee after birth, you're so so scared in case it stings but then once you start it's pure relief lol

A laughing face

Are you sure you’re old enough to be having sex give birth?

It’s just a question - it doesn’t need a hysterically laughing emoji.

I can’t remember - it’s too long ago. A few weeks, I think.

DumplingNom · 23/11/2022 23:24

5 weeks after front and back 2nd degree tears, just took it slow but it was fine. I was fully healed it was more nerves that made it awkward! Lol!

Understandable!, me and my partner are getting frustrated but I'm to scared to try just incase it hurts!

About 6/7 weeks each time. I have always been told not to until you've had your 6 week check.

Ontheedge2 · 24/11/2022 22:18

Yeah my understanding was also 6 weeks to make sure you get your check and everything is healing.

Having said that, I know it's difficult for people to get proper checks at the min

LifeIsHardAlways · 24/11/2022 23:17

Six months, no way I felt ready before then and I honestly have no idea how people can be back at it after only days/weeks…

Months for me and then hurt initially depends on how deep the tear is I suppose

PinkButtercups · 25/11/2022 00:51

About two weeks. Felt fine otherwise I wouldn't of!

notangelinajolie · 25/11/2022 00:58

We were told 6 weeks so that is what we did. I wasn’t particularly in the mood but we both agreed that we needed to do it before it became an issue. It was uncomfortable but not painful.

DramaAlpaca · 25/11/2022 01:06

Six weeks, just before the six week check. I thought we should try so I could mention at the check up if there were any issues. It was fine.

20viona · 30/11/2022 08:42

6 weeks this time and it was fine. Last time I waited months and it never got better and I needed a little op to fix the scar tissue build up. Worked A treat because I was pregnant in 9 months lol.

Proudofitbabe · 30/11/2022 08:46

5 weeks. It happened naturally and I nearly stopped DH thinking surely it's too soon, but we took it slow and other than an initial very brief wince moment it was totally, surprisingly normal.
