eeeek - why would you buy that - and if anyone had given that to me as 'a shower gift' I would have stuffed it down their throat not been pleased!

BellaBear · 15/01/2008 15:56

I put a request out on facebook for suggestions to pack. Let's just say that those from non pg friends are slightly different to those from friends who've been through labour.

just take some chocolate - there's never any food around after you give birth - which will probably be at 2am

preggersagain · 15/01/2008 16:04

pmsl- i knew there was something that i forgot to take with me!

BellaBear · 15/01/2008 16:27

tasteful, no?

I just love the fact that she took the time to do such a thorough job on her makeup before heading for umpteen hours of grunting and sweating in the labour suite...

And shouldn't your momento (sic) of the day be small and wriggling

lulumama · 15/01/2008 16:35

how ridicolous ! your head would be all sweaty and then you;d have hat hair for all the new baby pics

noooooooooooooooo!

JackieNo · 15/01/2008 16:37

Lol - that's hilarious.

JackieNo · 15/01/2008 16:39

Wow look - good idea (and goodness knows, I could probably use one), but looks rather scary.

whomovedmychocolate · 15/01/2008 16:39

I don't quite know what I'd say if someone bought me that. But suspect it would be quite rude!

JackieNo · 15/01/2008 16:42

Probably not for buying as a present, eh?

funnypeculiar · 15/01/2008 16:42

pmsl
This is some strange new definition of the phrase 'great gift', I presume?

BellaBear · 15/01/2008 16:46

Did anyone else click on JackieNo's link and then start doing their pelvic floor exercises?

OP posts:
Eirlys · 15/01/2008 20:33

yes!

it does look terrifying

meep · 15/01/2008 20:36

the cap has little houses on it

Roskva · 15/01/2008 20:41

pmsl at JackieNo's link (or maybe I wouldn't be pms if I did my pelvic floor excercises ), but who would want to, errm, insert something when a baby has just emerged....

kidsrus · 15/01/2008 20:44

facial spray to keep cool one that doesn't affect your make up body shop do a good one!

BarbaraWoodlouse · 15/01/2008 20:44

BellaBear - Yes, me!

kidsrus · 15/01/2008 20:46

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 16/01/2008 11:41

BellaBear - ha ha - me too!

e14mum · 16/01/2008 14:29

Especially like her makeup. Do you think DH will be able to apply my lipstick for me?
(And yes, BellaBear, am doing them as I type!)

bookwormmum · 16/01/2008 14:44

It looks like a hat you might see in an oncology ward or a theatre nurse. Apologies to anyone who has had to wear one . Sorry but that's what I thought. A hair bobble or scrunchie is cheaper and infinitely more stylish - if we're going for style!!

Roskva · 16/01/2008 16:38

I have to say that style was the last thing on my mind when dd was making her way into the world

speak2deb · 16/01/2008 16:45

'these beautifully made caps are ideal to brighten up your labour experience and also leaves you with a momento of the day!'

Your LABOUR EXPERIECNE?? It's not a bloody spa weekend!!

bookwormmum · 16/01/2008 19:16

Shame on you Roskva .
